I got some complaints.
Didn't like how basically nothing was gonna matter because U-san would come in and run wild, brother. Made it felt like the whole tournament was a waste of time meant to wank Doki's ex-Niji friends. Don't get me wrong, I liked seeing the old gang back together, but the way they got put in the brackets leaves a sour taste in my mouth, which isn't helped by the fact that the brackets were hella rigged in the first place.
Vtubers having absolutely no taste whatsoever in reps was also moderately annoying, but that's just how the business is. I'm not even talking about /hfz/ not getting more reps; most chuubas had way better options than the ones they chose, even from non-/hfz/ creators. Hakka and Cy Yu were standouts here.
It's clear organization behind the scenes was not very put together. Doki told everyone weight differences wouldn't matter because she was disabling weight simulation, but she clearly did not. Mint said in her stream after the event that Doki didn't even extend an invitation until a few hours before the event. Doki mentions in the final day that all the exhibition winners get belts, but this is the first time that's mentioned and there's no special belt for them, they just get copies of the main championship belt. A lot of the participants didn't know important key details of the event (although that could easily be due to not caring). NOBODY understood the time investment to make a decent CAW.
A few people were clearly there to rub elbows with Doki in public, and did not care about the event itself or putting on a decent show.
Snuffy and CyYu both were absent/late for Day 1 to the point where Doki had to pull Takahata101 from his hiatus (while he was on a road trip, no less) to do way better announcing on his shitty travel mic than Cy Yu even bothered to do on Day 2.
Filian didn't even want to be there initially, but she warmed up to it pretty quickly.

I don't want anybody to think "god, anon HATED the show". I didn't. I quite liked the show, but I think people are a bit too soft on Doki because they haven't really seen how these shows get made. Doki is very good at the "DO IT LIVE" bit, but I also think a lot of these issues could've been effortlessly avoided if there was more than 2 weeks to prepare and a bit more pre-planning put in.

To be declared when signups open. However, we will not be using 2k22, which is what the previous two events used.

We are expecting an increase in lore. If you would like to contribute, mention it in your sign-up form. If you're not a manager and wish to contribute, there will be a form.
>Will there be commentary?
Commentary interest form will go live with the sign-up form. For those reading this who would like to commentate, we expect the event to take place in July, on Saturday/Sunday, over 2 weekends. Friday may also be included if necessary.

There's a lot of factors involved that most of the CAWs did not take advantage of, and Doki gave the people making characters bad information. She was also probably not running the game on the highest difficulty (which DOES affect the AI).

Watching Chuubadream made me realize that 2k24 is the future and 23 can frankly go die in a ditch. So I decided that I will move the Squared Circuit roster straight to 24 instead of continuing to work on 23. Tag matches are utter shit in 23, where they never end and wrestlers act like robots with instantaneous reactions who are already in the ring before the finisher animation ends and already broke the pin before ref even had the time to get on the ground, regardless of loyalty settings. Unlike in 22, where tag matches are actually enjoyable and end in reasonable timeframes and wrestlers can actually fuck up or plain not save their partners.
In fact, 23 tags are so utterly broken that instead of actually fixing them in 24 they just slapped a retarded mandatory "only one save per tag" rule to make them marginally less shit.

If you are going to request the help of a /hfz/ team member to create your rep, you'll have four baselines to pick from. "Striker" who focuses on brawling over all else, "Technician" who prefers to target limbs with submissions, "Powerhouse" which is the big lads who throw you around and "High Flyer" that does flips. Whilst these are the foundations, you can request say... "I want my guy to never try and do lifts and strictly kick" and we'll figure out the ideal system for you.

It took them 2 year and all they came up with is a combo fucking system. Backstage Brawl is boring as shit now and still is in 24, completely removal of one of the coolest aspect in WWE games that is Customizable Entrance, removing all magic PAYBACK and 20's Supernatural Showcase Arenas is the worst thing 22 has ever done and we still haven't recovered from that dog shit decision. I don't give a rat fucking ass about fucking Soul Siphon or Fireball, gimme back Nanomachines, Heat Mode, Hands Of The Dead.

Anything that 22 is good at, the other 3 is great at. Anything that the other is great at, 22 can't do it AT ALL. And I'm not even gonna mentioning any 2K prior to 20 because if I do, the only game where 22 could realistically consider to be better at, is fucking WWE 2K15.

Backstage brawl is literally an unrestricted KO match with a half a dozen new things to bump your opponent into, if you think that's boring you're just grasping at straws. You know what is a worthless new inculsion though? War games. "What if we take an elimination chamber, but it's tag team, lasts forever and always ends anticlimatically".

Is this why not OP, not CoCOP, not Elfs, not ECWOP or SCOP or WDCOP managed to tardwrangle these dogshit templates into something that looks even half as presentable as pre-23 faces, and some of these people have YEARS of CaWmaking experience behind them and STILL their 23 faces end up looking like abortions. Literally only DarkOP can make them good and he's only just the best CaWmaker in /hfz/ by far.

CaWmaking. For every comfort feature 23 or 24 introuduces they also ruin two or three other features that used to work in 22. Half of items and hairstyles that were compatible with each other in 22 are no longer compatible in later games. 24 outright nuked double hair and attire 2 glitch from orbit, and using external programs to circumvent that makes the game shit bricks and crash every 5 minutes. Lighting and coloring in 23 and 24 is ass and CaWs in matches just plain do not look like they did in the editor. And that's not mentioning all the shit 24 ruined about images. And faces, naturally.
20 editor isn't even worth mentioning because it's completely unbearable and everyone who ever had a misfortune of working with it can attest to that.
All in all you can cherrypick features from half a dozen different games as much as you want, but if I want a game where a CaW editor doesn't make me want to blast my head off and ALSO has functioning tags, tables and extreme rules, I would pick 22 over 23 10 out of 10 times, custom entrances be damned.
At least 24 has the benefit of most of their match types fucking working and an AI that's head and shoulders above everything in previous games. 23 is just an abortion that broke half the match types in the game as a payment for bringing back some of the shit that was removed in 22, on top of removing all good titantrons, introducing dumb mechanics like running attacks actually needing a running start and making the CaW editor worse.

There is no competition. Model Importing is available for 2k23 at this very second, and I believe they're working on it for 2k24.
Half the point of using a game with a robust CAW system is the fucking CAW system. If model importing was going to get put on the table, then there are other games that could be used instead.
