They're structured in such a way as to use their talented people that sign with them to attempt dragging up their untalented people so they can wring a little more money out of you, and if even they can't bring you up a little you get flung to the bottom of the pile and left to die. The actually talented talented people however don't need the big labels to push them like the others do and can generally get a lot of draw and connections simply by making their music. It's much slower, yes, but still very viable. Suisei herself is a direct example of that. It only gets more nonsensical when you realize Cover is getting closer and closer to a music label in and of themselves in terms of the kind of weight they throw around. Pretty sure even Mori outright stated she's a fucking retard for ever being stupid enough to sign a contract with them.
