Gonna be honest. I'm at the stage where vtubers are just lolcows to me. They were never a replacement for friends. They were never a placebo for tfw no gf. They were a fun novelty for a while, but corporatization and massive homogenity in the en sphere has basically killed the medium for the moment.

The one current use is for 2views who can become the focal point slash mascot for a community of online gamers who play together regularly. It's impossible to do that with popular chubas because close knit communities can't scale up to that level.
