check the contract out and make sure everything is good and that you're not getting fucked over in the margins somewhere.
For content, be sincere. Putting up a front may work sometimes, but it's not a long-term solution. Vtubing is about putting the real you out there, paradoxically, so be sure to do your best with that in mind.
Try and keep to yourself and your genmates for the first few months. Odds are that indie and other corpo Vtubers may be interested in reaching out, and while that's nice, you need to focus on yourself for the beginning of your career. Collabs and shit are nice sometimes, but if you can't settle a core fanbase in the first few months because you're being linked up with other, pre-established talents, it may be hard for you on the long term.
Have fun, I hope you get paid well, and work with your manager while keeping your own individual choices at the forefront when you can.

Depends entirely on the situation.
The biggest pitfall girls can run into in those situations is getting absolutely fucked up in terms of their capacity to build their own audience. The worst outcome would be basically becoming an accessory to a larger streamer, and having your own fanbase hollowed out.
The only time I've ever seen an indie girl actually grow from collabs with these bigger people (Hololive OR Holostars, even) was when those girls were already so devoted to those people, that the audience could naturally blend in. To explain what happens when you do male collabs.
You don't lose ALL your viewers, you will however lose a lot of the ones that give you money and support you loyally, especially whales.
So CCV only dips a marginal amount BUT you lose a LOT of revenue.
Some are big enough that it doesn't matter if they drop all of their whales but you will NOT gain viewers from male collabs, the best you can expect is obnoxious homo watchers coming to you and begging for the next male collab with their favorite homo that you collabed with before. They don't care about you at all.
It's especially bad if you are a GFE chuuba that tells people you're single and a virgin.
You will get attached to your regulars, this is normal. The parasocial sword cuts both ways.
Men do not want to listen to other men talk to their cute girl that they listen to, regardless of thinking they're your gf or not. It's unpleasant to hear a male sexpest talking to the cute girl you want to hear. It's just physiological.

My advice is to make friends from outside the industry that you can trust before you go big. In particular, people who won't actually watch your content much because it's not their speed, but are supportive of you regardless. That means people from completely outside the vtuber community/fanbase.
Having these friends you can hang out with will keep your mental state grounded and prevent yourself going weird by only interacting with fans/antis/coworkers.
Staying sane in that environment is *harder* than staying sane while being completely alone. It'll fuck with your perception of basic human connections over time if you don't have a stable reference point.

Washed up excorpo femanon here, I’m so happy you’re giving corpo vtubing a try! I have a few tips on how you could grow, though most of the things I say should have been told to you by a manager at some point in time.

Since you’re going to be pretty isolated on a mobile streaming app, growth will have to come from advertising from the company itself and your efforts outside of the platform. Focus on twitter (good for networking) and YouTube (if you’re allowed). Interacting with other small corpo members on twitter will get you seen and you’ll be able to find friends to collab with in the future! You could try and reference NEXAS talents as they’re in a similar predicament as you might be in.
You should try to post at least once a day, and posts with images do way better so take advantage of asset trends that may pop up, scheduling tweets is also good if you decide to bulk create tweets in advance but make sure not to spam or else it may stunt your engagement. Also keep to 1-2 vtuber hashtags, twitter filters out more than that as spam and if you have links ALWAYS post them in replies as your tweet may get suppressed.
YouTube shorts are a great way to find growth, though those will take time to edit if your corpo doesn’t have an in house editor and you’ve never touched an editing program before. Covers are great, scripted content is also good, clips are a 50/50.
As someone else has already said, collabs should be put off until you’re 100% comfortable and have settled past the debut hype.
Collabs with males are risky, if you end up focusing on GFE (girlfriend experience, great for growth) n decide to interact with males a lot you will be labelled a whore n people might not want to support you. If you happen to have a couple of them in your gen, that’s ok! You will have to collab with them, but make sure you’re not flirting and NEVER say you’re dating someone. It’s just better to stay safe and secure growth in the future.
