When they applied, even when they started this was the big chance, the pinnacle of an indie career. Nijisanji had a problems, but nothing too major. Zaion wasn't a big enough deal to be a problem for Nijisanji. But then the company kept shitting the bed, growth was abysmal, fans left and new ones didn't come back. For Kunai she even had less of a viewership than her PL. Zero sponsorships, probably no new social networks established.
Now it's a year wasted. Probably worse than that. They'll graduate and they'll have nothing to show for it. Unlike Pomu or Selen they don't have a large fanbase to follow them or hype up their return. No big contracts waiting like Mysta or Nina. You're going back to your old account and...that's it? You just get back on the wheel and pick up where you left off. Considering how few followers will come from Niji it might have been better to never have applied in the first place.
