Not really? I might be biased as fuck though. Compared to games like Rimworld, Road Warden, and Dwarf fortress it's definitely not a text based game. It's more inline with turned based rpg for combat if anything, and compared to such games like Chrono Trigger or older final fantasy there's less text in the combat in darkest dungeon comparatively. There's the initial learning curve but once you get that down there's really not much you "need" to read.

I'm the same cookie lol I'm always just very careful when it comes to paying more than the recommended amount when it comes to skebs because legally they're under no obligation to actually provide it. Skeb is a very honor based system for better and worse. Paying double for the alt would probably be overpaying too. If you found an artist from the list I gave giving a bit extra, maybe 30-50% for the alt could be possible but again there's no hard guarantee they will compared to a normal comm. I love skeb but it has its downsides.

Btw if you do go through skeb and get it in check the psd files, sometimes they'll include alts by having layers be toggleable. I should mention I do see alts somewhat commonly in the /h/ thread so it's not a super rare thing.
