yeah my job covers everything i need, i saved up a bunch of money because i have some side businesses i have as well on my PL that covers for vtubing stuff. I haven’t skeb’d or wasted money on overlays and the like, i simply only invest money in my vtuber artist because her art is sugoku kanpeki. im very frugal, but i also dont own a car and walk everywhere. I think if you just hang around twitter 24/7 finding deals on vtuber riggers and cold emailing all the japanese artists you can find on twitter, you can definitely afford a beautiful live2d model. It took me 4 months ish to find my artist and rig but its worth it if you are on a budget and want to compete with everyone else. Definitely don’t waste your time spending money on popular western artists who speak english because they get very pretty uptight on what you do for content or want to get “close” to you and attached. Japanese artists really dont care about you and want to get the job done. Im not sure about if korean or chinese artists are the time but it doesnt hurt to try them out.
