I only ever watched Rosemi in a few collabs and from the last tournament, but I can't really understand the hate she gets for her performance - and it's not just from Niji antis either because /vg/ was ripping her a new one at the time as well.

I think it really comes down to attitude and expectations. Doki went into it not expecting much because she'd never played a fighting game before (other than Marvel vs Capcom 2 in an arcade a few times years ago) and just wanted to have fun. Whereas Rosemi seems to have taken it very seriously
and started to lose her nerve as soon as she hit the first stumbling block because it knocked her confidence.

It's pretty simple from these threads. Most of these bitches are just dramawhores that don't give a shit about the game, the community, or the fact anyone unrelated was in the tournament. Even from a clueless vtuber fandom perspective, how can anyone care about Doki going to an in-person event, when there is the possibility of Zen going to an in-person event and being exposed.

We can sit here all day and try to make sense of what they're seeing and how they must think their relative skills stack up. But the simple fact is that they do not remotely care or ever think about any of that. To them it's just about doki spam and niji seethe. Clearly the tournament relied on the player and character matchups which were pretty much fixed and didn't even rely on elimination of team members.
