Anycolor has trended downward today, heading to the first lunch break of the week at 2282¥ (-44). While it's not impossible to recover, they'll have a hard time doing so by the looks of it today.

COVER CORP RISES AS REPORT DRAWS NEAR.
Cover is taking the high road as we prepare for their financial report to drop, heading to lunch break at 1711¥ (17), a return to the 1700s once more. It's stayed relatively stable once it breached the positive barrier, but with Cover you can't expect positivity for long.

Nikkei has had a wild day today, despite being negative for most of the first half, in the last hour it has shot up before lunch, currently residing at a miniscule 0.04% increase.

REVENUE

Cover Corp has managed to hit their forecasts for this year, by a margin of 6%. Streaming/Content revenue was up by 20%, while Concerts, Merchandise and Licensing revenue increased between 55%-65%. For the quarter, Cover saw a YoY of 43%.
Profits and Margins have increased overall for the year, despite increased costs this quarter due to merchandising and large scale events.
In short, we've hit the yearly forecast, Q4 2024 is the best quarter ever. Numbers go up revenue and cost wise (but still more profit.)

MEDIUM-LONG TERM STRATEGY

Cover's sale structure has shifted to that of a IP company due to merchandise and licensing revenue increasing, with 56% of revenue coming from those avenues.
Cover plans to expand their audience more trying to enter more into the general anime/weeb market and then general entertaiment, using avenues such as merch, games, anime, etc.

BUSINESS PLAN

Cover's forecast for next year sees them improve by 20% in revenue, with operating,ordinary,net profit ranging from 22-31%.
Cover repeats their plans of tapping into the weeb/anime market as well general entertainment, while also nurturing their core vtuber fandom. They indicate a focus on partnerships/collaborations as well as emphasize that expanding to overseas is important, with merchandise being a core component as mentioned before.
A brief slide is included about their gaming/metaverse ventures, which are decentralized to decrease financial risk. With HoloIndie used for fan works under their IP. Cover is Licensing their IP to game developers.
HoloEarth is still in development in house, with a expansion of a open beta in 2024 executed gradually (invite only I'm assuming?) The project has cost 2 billion yen as of March 2024, with the overall cost impact for next fiscal year to be 500 million yen.

In short, Cover expects to grow more. They're also planning to branch out beyond just vtubing and into general Anime/Weeb industry and eventually just general entertainment. With a major emphasis on overseas growth, user generated content, and merchandise.

The only interesting parts is that it features that 8 of the 10 most popular VTubers are Cover Corp talents, with the 2 exceptions being Kizuna AI and Filian.
There's also a comparison between them and Company A and B (Anycolor and Brave Group) with Cover having more subs, revenue per vtuber compared to the two. With Cover even having nearly 5 times as many 1 million subscriber Channels as Anycolor despite having nearly half the roster as Anycolor.

TLDR: Cover has had a fantastic Q4 and a great fiscal year. With plans to expand not only overseas, but beyond the VTuber market and into the mainstream.

Going off the PTS (Post market trading) Cover Corp is already seeing a large bump as we open the market next time, however they'll still have a ways to go to catch up to Anycolor. They've been allowed to fall while Anycolor hasn't. Speaking of Anycolor, while they saw a brief spike after the report dropped, they're currently look at a very marginal growth in the PTS.

It's still early however, but overall temper your expectations. Cover will shoot up, but they aren't gonna cross Anycolor just yet. Jury is out on Anycolor however, but as they say: a rising tide lifts all yachts, and I expect Anycolor to at the very least rise.

ANYCOLOR LATCHES ONTO HYPE
Anycolor has shot up significantly today, as they are currently at 2394¥ (76) as we head into lunch. As expected, Cover's financial report was a rising tide for all boats. However it seems Anycolor's rise won't be as drastic as one would expect. Despite rising by over 100 yen, they've since trickled back down to a gain of around 70-80 yen and have stabilized in the past hour and a half. It's a hectic day, so don't be surprised if the stock fluctuates heavily.

HOLY SHIT BUY BUY BUY
Cover has rocketed up the graph today as they are currently looking at a amazing 2080¥ (365!) as we head into lunch, a 21% increase. Unlike they're competition however, Cover was still steadily rising. There hasn't been as much movement in the last 30 minute before lunch however, but at worst I expect to still have a solid foothold in the 2000s by today's closing.
In terms of recovery for them, they still have some ground to cover (heh.) But as of right now, they've essentially regained around a month of losses just today alone. Id considered them recovered if they manage to get back in the 2300-2600 mark, as that's what they're usual position was.
In addition, the trading volume has skyrocketed to 15 Million. Keep in mind, we're still not done today.

COVER PREPARES TO GO THE PRIME MARKET
Something I unfortunately forgot to mention last night was that Cover Corp has announced that they're preparing to go the prime market, leaving the growth market in order to "achieve medium to long term growth." To put it to American terms, they might be going up to the big leagues.
However keep in mind, there isn't a date of when a change will happen. In fact, Cover has said that there is a possibilities they may suspend preparations if there are uncertainties. There's also a chance the TSE might not approve of it anyway.

Serial numbers are assigned by item type and are in the order of which items are purchased from the shop.
The serial number increases as the item is purchased by players at the fashion shop; the serial number will also increment if the same player makes repeat purchases of the item.
So, the lower the number, the earlier the item was sold at the shop.

Despite the initial wave of support due to Cover's financial report, Anycolor only had a rather decent day. They're closing out at 2365¥ (+47). In my opinion, these are rather underwhelming numbers. I would've thought that they would at the very least see around 70-100 yen increase, not a sub 50 one. Regardless, Anycolor seems to at the very least have stop the bleeding from Feb/March for now. We may finally be seeing a process of recovery for them.

COVER CORP SKYROCKETS DESPITE TROUBLES.
Cover Corp still closes out on a huge gain today, closing out at a rallying 1995¥ (280). The stock despite it's strong gains, had a harsher downturn than expected as we closed out. However, I believe that this won't matter just yet. There's gonna be a lot of selling and buying over the next few days, and we won't know what the general trend will be for not only Cover, but Anycolor as well.

ANYCOLOR IN FREEFALL
Despite Anycolor's gains yesterday, the stock gradually fell to a sad 2230 (-135), quite literally taking one step forward and taking two steps back stock wise. They're currently at a 96 loss for the week overall. And while I encourage a "wait and see" approach, the fact that there was little to no ability rise through out the day may be a grim omen. Morale is also quite low on the stock right now, with a 69% majority that voted claiming they want to sell.
But they're not the only one to be dealt with a bad hand. Well, one that dosen't seem them lose triple their gains atleast.

Cover also got dealt a significant loss today, dropping back to 1886 (-109). While this is still a major blow to their gains, they haven't lost it all yet and still are looking at a decent 192 gain. And unlike Anycolor, they recovered and stabilized after hitting they're lowest today.

Keep in mind, for both stocks we're looking at a lot moving. short sellers are gonna try and short the stock, People are gonna try and buy in on the financial report. Just be patient before making any judgement. It's easier to look dumb and say Anycolor and Cover are done for and/or recovering only for the next day to see the opposite happen. We've still got 2 days before we can really take a breather.

The NIKKEI went up by 0.08% today.
The gap between the two has once again shrunk, down to 344.
Anycolor board was mostly doomposting.
Cover board had 1500 posts today. I'm refusing to "thoroughly review" it all, but general theme just to be reactions to it falling and lamenting about short sellers. It's still mostly split with Want to buy still favored amongst those that voted atleast.

Strong disagreement regarding short sellers. Short selling has the tendency to be gradually going down as it’s a more monitored operation based on being sire the price doesn’t suddenly spike up and you find yourself screwed. You don’t sell all at once.
As I said before, Cover hitting 2000 convinced some investors it was time to bail and tanked both stocks. Cover is rebalancing better than Anycolor about this.
Overall, the only truth is that the Vtuber market is revealing itself not convincing investors anymore. On one side a company that catered to them and burned money for them is stagnating heavily, on the other the one hitting all records has no intention to cater to their “short time gain” mentality.
Add the incredible weakness of the Yen, and you have a recipe for disaster. Then again, Yagoo could proceed to a buyback to get rid of annoying investors and boost the price to get accepted into the Prime Market with ease, but the fact he’s not doing it is promising for his pro-talent mentality.
