I also wonder if how many sponsorships she's had thrown at her since getting fired and going indie has helped as well. If sponsors had kept their distance from her post-termination it would have been one thing, but if anything it feels like a lot of companies (most notably Hyte, who has collabed with Holo as well) were held back from collabing with her by NijiEN management. Hard to argue it's too risky to collab with an indie vtuber who's been embraced by as many companies as Doki has in the last three months.

Because that's not what a blacklist is. HololiveEN and HolostarsEN may have largely decoupled from each other in terms of management, but Gorimane and Jap still report to the same people and talk to each other when it comes to perms and stuff. A branch-exclusive blacklist would either require said branch to be fully autonomous or be led by a rogue employee, and Cover isn't big enough to have any fully autonomous branches. Higher ups can make suggestions to the talents themselves about who they should and shouldn't collab with based on potential controversy, but that's not a blacklist.

This is likely the big discrepancy some people don't understand. Hololive has strict rules and guidelines, but they're not arbitrary like in Nijisanji. NijiEN outright banned Holo collabs early on ffs. You could argue it's good not to overdo them because it's detrimental to growing your own fanbase, so I understand it as a guideline, but it's not normal to ban it completely and for Pomu and Kiara to need to fight to get anything.
