People thought that she was doing badly on purpose early on and that she'd reveal herself to be extremely good later on but when she never actually got better they turned on her

She posted a purple rank promotion with Lili on her off stream account before the first slam happened so people assumed she was good (with the Harada cosign and all) and Sajam put her on a higher seed. Then the tournament rolls around, she plays other characters on the first round robin to reduce her nerves and loses all her matches.

Then the finals happen, she actually plays Lili and also loses all her matches but it was at least clear she had more experience with the character (comes close to taking a game off LazyMattman, the highest ranked player at that moment). Some people thought she was sandbagging or that she wasn't as good as people first assumed.

The issue is that from what it seems she still suffers from heavy ranked anxiety. This is like the first Tekken stream she has done after the slam (aside from a quick tweet where she promoted to blue ranks and the EVO Japan restream).

Honestly yeah. Wouldn't be surprised if the expectations being so high got to her somehow. Also it didn't help that the streams she has done before were either story mode or her spectating the rosebuds' matches so no one had any accurate idea of how she played and what advice to give.

that comes back to the original issue that she has ranked anxiety on stream. she mentioned wanting to stream the game numerous times but felt anxious and bad every time she thought about it so i really think she just needs to settle into it like she seems to plan on doing with members ranked which i think is a good idea. shes always skittish with stuff like this even mario kart tourney and this upcoming collab.
