In the first year she started, she was a fan favorite that even Fubuki promoted her. She was a girl who liked lewd topics, wanted to try new games no matter the genre, loved her fans to a parasocial degree, her karaoke’s were great and was generally a pleasant person. Jump to today and what does she offer? Gacha streams, valorant and the occasional cover. She no longer tries new games and if she does she drops them after one stream or switches to valorant in the same stream. The other thing is her original covers which after tsunami, have been a downgrade. That’s all you get from her, she actively killed all potential of her lewd content, she no longer interacts with her fans as much as she used to or at all. And you know what’s the worse? is that she doesn’t have any motive to improve herself, and that’s easy to catch on by watching any of her streams. And what’s the point of watching someone who no longer tries? How does she expect to gain new viewers if she doesn’t try? She used to have around 1.5k live viewers and that has fallen to a usual 300. Her actions have costed her a great chunk of her original fanbase that wanted nothing more than her success.
And worse of all is that Finana never takes accountability, its always someone’s else fault, she never takes the time to consider what she might be doing. She doesn’t cherish any connection she has created in this industry, she stopped interacting with other indies she was playing with, she turned down Pomu’s collab plans till she stopped trying, she barely joined party collabs because she was “nervous of her reputstion”, and the times she was in big collabs she either overslept or left early to play either valorant or ff raids. Her most lasting legacy is how other generals use her as a caution story, and if that’s what she leaves it was because of her own actions.

Finana's situation is special. She may not even be involved with the drama surrounding Selen, but she got herself into some trouble before that, what with the Valoguard drama and that ASMR April fools prank in 2023. And her not knowing to keep a tight lid on the Zaion drama did not help her situation, even if Sayu isnt much different in her own case.
I do agree though in that a fresh start really would do wonders for her. Obviously vtubing is more competitive now than it was when Lazulight debuted, but she still seems to have some commitment to trying new games like playing Alone in the Dark 2024 and Dragons Dogma 2 to completion apparently.
