/asp/ was supposed to be a starting point and then chuubas would either cut ties with 4chan or move over to /wvt/.
The problem is that /wvt/ filled with schizos and people talking only about the same old aspies or /here/ chuubas and refusing to accept any new blood in, so it became a closed circlejerk.
So now most aspies stay here and it becomes a sort of nu/wvt/ but for smaller people, until they outgrow and leave (but you’ll always have schizos talking about you if you leave a bad mark).

I think as long as you came from /here/, you're an /asp/ie :] it's less of a literal title and more of a community identifier. If we want to get really particular about it, I guess you could consider affiliated/partnered /asp/ies "alumni" or something like that, but this is much easier.
