I leave a comment if I have something to say that would be relevant to her or other people watching the VoD in the future, like info about the game or a topic she brought up, timestamps, answering a question she asked on stream, something she may not have noticed, and so on. That is because in such cases there is added value to having the comment featured just under the stream itself.
If I would just tell her that I liked the stream and crack a joke or whatever, I use Twitter instead. That is because whether that comment is read by anybody but her is irrelevant.
