A couple things to know if you want to request one:
NAI doesn't let you upscale directly to 1920x1080 so you can ask for 1920x1152 or 1920x960 (I usually do 960 and add black bars to letterbox it). If you don't specify a resolution I will pick one at random.
You should check that whoever you want to request has at least 150 pics on Danbooru and that they didn't debut after the summer of 2023 to make sure NAI knows them.

I humbly beseech your expertise /vtai/, I'm having a really bad issue with deep fried faces!

Recently did a clean install of a1111 after not proompting for a year. I'm using Autismmix with a VAE that's just called sdxl.vae.safetensors (I kind of hope this is the culprit, idk what people use for pony models), and I've only been using LoRAs made for/with for Pony.
I'm prompting with DPM++2 SDE, Karras and 28 steps for sampling.
I'm using CFG scale 7, and I'm hires-ing with 4xAnimesharp at 0.7 denoising strength. I'm also using clip skip 2.
I have only been using the aspect ratios Pony was supposedly trained by using.

Through my Botan proompting I've tried using the holo-ponyxl-te-only-128-lion-v2 LoRA and the Pony lora for Botan in the OP.
I've also used two different "thiccwithaq"/ Nyantcha style LoRAs and a Mogudan one.
Without any LoRAs and before upscaling my faces are already deepfried. After upscaling they remain deepfried. It's especially the eyes that are bad.
Literally everything else besides the eyes and the faces is PERFECT. No weird artifacts, no nothing.

Really not sure what to do, hope it's somehow just a matter of switching VAE.

Few tips.
Biggest one SDXL model don't work with resolution lower than 768 (for both) and has optimal res it likes to gen with >>74510690

The denoise is too high, pony is a finnicky model it will do weird stuff even at 0.4 denoise so 0.7 is pushing it a lot. I would also recommend upscaling with euler a but not 100% necessary.

For VAE sdxl only has one VAE (there are some experimental ones but no ones uses them) so this is the only one for all models.

Prompting looks ok but I would not go crazy with the emphasis until it really is refusing to do something you want just my personal opinion.

Hmm that is definitely too long. I had a 1070 TI before too, longest it took me was 40 sec per 768*1024. Try using Forge when you get the chance, should speed it up quite a bit. It's the same as A1111 (UI and all) but works much faster.

A lora should do a good enough job to override the base model's data on ringed eyes but I believe part of the problem is that it's an awfully categorized tag. Both spiral (confused, hypnotized, etc) eyes and actually ringed eyes (makima's, hotaru's, etc) are under the same tag. It's poisoned on all base models because no one ever corrects danbooru. I'm big on details like eye design and it drives me up the wall
