It's fairly simple and I'll try not to be biased. She built herself up for this huge fall because her content for a long time was gfe. She played the possessive yandere type that was full on "only look at me, no one else" type and would threaten her fans if they dared to watch any other female's stream, of course this was taken as more of a joking way but with all that's been released, it could of been legitimate.

Add onto the fact that many times mikeneko promised her fans that she wouldn't talk or collab with guys and denied being in any relationship, while constantly telling her fans how she loves them and in return, her fans proclaiming mikeneko as their wife.

So when the mafu DM popped up on her stream, that started the chain reaction of fans feeling betrayed that she lied to them. Things then turned for the worst when she went back on her "promises" and collabed with two guys after getting banned from an apex tournament. And finally things went to a complete shit landslide when mikeneko herself admitted and confirmed she was married to mafu years ago but divorced him. Plus the proverbial cherry on the shit sundae was mikeneko being married during the time she kept the whole possessive roleplay going on.
