The number that they publicly put out there on each channel is an estimate determined by math and algorithm magic. I don't have a source, but I know how this works from working in web developmemt for 9 years. In order to accurately keep track of the number of subscribers/followers/etc on any social networking service, you have to check every account in the database to see if each of them are following or not following one account. This can be slow, especially if the userbase is large, so most websites will instead assign a number to every user and increment/decrement it every time another user follows/unfollows. This is much faster, but this can be inaccurate if there are bugs or hic-ups in the server. So, some websites will do periodic audits in the background to make sure everyone's follower count is accurate. that site only show sub loss (and gains) if the number reach a certain threshold per units of time (days/weeks/months), in gura's case (and any channel that surpassed 1m said threshold is 10k) if she losses a fixated rate of 500 per day this makes 3500 per week (goes under the radar) but this also means 14000 monthly (this should appear in said category), so at least the real loss rate should be way less to not appear in that site at all and this is counting a net negative, thing that it's doubtfull is a persitent trend for any active holo channel.

The "NOTHING HAPPENED" stance and the continuos love bombing of scuffed and half assed events are just reinforcing the idea that Nijisanji is a bad company, so they won't bring back the fans they lost when they terminated and harassed Selen. It doesn't help either that all the ex-nijis can't fucking stop of talking bad about the company, so their fans don't have any reason at all to keep supporting the remaining talents. And then you have fanbases like Rosemi's that are just hoping and waiting for her graduation announcement, so of course they don't have any interest on supporting the branch.

So, in conclusion:

The issue is that after Luxiem was rolled out, they began filtering the original male fambase with content aimed at femcels, . The Chinese and Filipina femcel psychopaths Luxiem brought in caused an explosion of sub growth.

Unfortunately for Niji, femcel psychopaths are far less loyal a fanbase than lonely men. In addition reducing the girls to ship bait and accessories for the males, the femcels immediately began aggressively chasing the male fans out of Niji as well. The last major concentrations of male fans watched Pomu and Selen and when they left they basically lost every male. Vivi never had a chance. The Nijisanji brand was toxic for males by the time she showed up, and the Sisters immediately began harassing her when they released she was trying to appeal to male viewers. She just joined at the wrong time.
