Places like /wvt/ /lig/ or /trash/ have a lot of Anya posters, they're the ones making all those weird edits pf her face. Originally Anya Global was started as a joke because she was doing the worst in all of Holo ID. Then someone else started Petra Global because literally nobody knew who she was. And because they have similar tastes, (not personalities or affiliations) they merged together.

But it's really just been a /wvt/ off-shoot and people there only care about making memes or bumping with random chuubas. The long-time OP is not even a fan of either of them.

I made the original Anya global. Check the archives and those had various references from philosophy and literature. The current OP iirc is a robosa but he does watch Anya and Petra. The reason the general came to be was never about numbers or making fun of them, it was a matter of convenience and mutual agreement - back then Petra used to stream around half a day before Anya so it was very useful.

You don't need to discredit the thread.

Anya-Petra Global was a fun (and useful, because neither could sustain their own threads at the time) idea back in the day, when unity with NijiEN was still something that could be legitimately seen as desirable.

I made almost all the Anya-Petra threads since its beginning (Day 1 melhomie btw). Do you want to know why there are so many other vtuber are posted and tolerated in there. It was something to post in dead hours between between Anya/Petra streams. Was there some shilling involved? Maybe, but nobody complained about it vocally, so it became thread culture. It started as a joke because both were pulling the lowest numbers in their branch so that united both shitposters (not schizos btw) and people who actually liked them, and eventually it became some sort of inside joke that they get along and push through together. Honestly I always found it kinda cute, people seemed to enjoy that general.

Anya Petra Global has produced so much OC, its insane. The only thread that matched it for its brief existence was the Fulgur/Sana one. There's also some funny little coincidences like the one Anya and Petra liked an image of them together, or how a specific petra image brings petra AND anya results.
