As I said, there are several levels of functioning and I'm not sure how you would know about the lack of comorbidities without being a specialist in the field. Having an IQ deficit for example is a problem that's completely separate from the autism spectrum and may occur but often doesn't (quite the opposite). Go read the DSM-5 and if you have a problem with treating diagnosed autistic adults in a way that is understanding of their struggles you lack empathy and have no idea how hard it is to function while being autistic.

Well, I know only one thing: I was diagnosed so there are actually autistic people here and I don't particularly enjoy people saying that caring about my struggles is a bad thing. I may be high functioning (without IQ deficit or language impairment) obviously it could be worse but this shit is hard af to deal with, constantly makes my life miserable especially because people expect me to be able to do easily things I'm not able to do just because I'm smart and seem "ok enough". I'm not ok enough, I work my ass off to try to mask my struggles and appear normal while still failing miserably constantly.
