A painful consequence of the hostile rights environment. If you don't like it just make good free music for them to cover.

It’s too bad that the music industry is so full of turtles in their exclusivity bunkers. Covers are way overpriced and rare is there a chuuba that can cut doing parody work, so enjoy hearing vocaloid music until the sun blows up.

Its not just that every cover has to be public domain vomit.
Ori songs are mostly garbage as well its either tasteless pop or shit that sounds like a generic anime opening.
So many self proclaimed scene girls and nobody even pretends to try produce rock.

Sad that we don't see them any more. I think Westerners these days might be just creatively bankrupt. There's plenty of money to be made, but that's what happens with the current passionless culture they cultivated these days.

Not just rock but I want them to produce the emo, pop punk or alt-rock variant. I think a lot of anime songs/J-rock are closer to that kind of music, rather than just rock in general. It sounds more emotional and familiar to our ears that's why we love that kind of music.

Because they work for japanese companies in a largely japan-oriented hobby. It's a lot harder to find indie western music that's open to their music being covered and monetized without royalties and none of the big companies have the kind of networking or connections in north america or europe to find that kind of stuff.

Plus you'll find that independent music producers in japan are oriented around idol pop and anime-styled music because that's what's popular and that's what has a lot of useful tools readily available. In the west, independent music producers are almost exclusively DJing nightclubs with EDM and other various subgenres of heavily sampled dance electronica because that's the subculture. It's just not an environment compatible with solo singing covers from self-styled internet idols. And no self-respecting band or music label is going to let a youtube nobody cover their songs without a very expensive licensing fee, residuals and restrictive contract terms. They don't need the exposure and it isn't a gift economy the way that vocaloid music is.

>> No.74017367

>>74017149
>idol pop and anime-styled music
I mean we could still get this same genre, but why are they all Japanese songs instead of in English? They're supposed to be English vtubers yet they're singing songs in Japanese. Can't we make some J-pop genre in English? Can't they hire any talented indies to make songs for them or their English just sucks really bad they can't even do that? How tf are they able to sell the merch then and talk to people, what is the management doing do they just hate music or what
