Doujin artists typically barely break even, its not a career thing its a fan thing. So when a big company swoops in and picks up your fanmade material and starts profiting off it, it goes from being someone's Fandom work to corporate faggotry.

Is there any precedent for this? Have doujin artists actually gotten in legal trouble for becoming too famous? Popularity isn't a problem because those doujinshi are still being sold for a handful of yen in Japan no matter if the artist is a literal who or Harada.
