My opinion is that you should play a series or genre that you can consistently continue to stream at least 1-2 times a week. Then mix other stuff you want to play in on other days of the week.
So for example play Dota every Saturday and League every Monday and then on Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday you can stream whatever you want, but you might want to occasionally try out a new MOBA every now and then on one of those days.
I don't actually play MOBAs but that's an example.
You could also do MMOs or competitive FPS.
Or you could go with a long-running series like Halo or Metal Gear or Resident Evil or Ace Combat, etc, etc.
Give the people who followed you to watch Armored Core an opportunity to actually watch you play Armored Core.

Some people like it, some people don't. However there is much more of an expectation to thank people for following as a small streamer. Its just part of the experience of a small streamer. If you aren't into interacting with a streamer you should probably not be watching small streamers, its kind of their niche and the only way they can compete with the big guys. Not doing it is a huge mistake because most people who watch small streamers are really into that kind of thing and will quickly switch to somebody else if they aren't able to interact with them.

A sweet spot is just quickly thanking somebody for a follow and moving on. You can optionally put in a small "Hows it going" or something to invite a bit of conversation, but move on quickly and never mention them again if they don't respond.
