Because Shanti has ruined my life, I am thinking of a dark sort of AU where Luca is a mean and evil mafia boss (real) and at some celebration his guys hire a dancer for him, but instead of getting a girl, Shu shows up. He is the proprietor of the escort agency, and at first the lucub mafia are outraged that they'd send their beloved boss a guy -- but Luca, in good spirits and secretly enthralled on some level by this mysterious, ethereal man, tells the guy to give him a show. Thus we get the Shanti routine, and by the end of it, Luca is a goner. He tries to hire Shu for a private aftershow, but Shu just smiles at him and says that he's welcome to come to his office tomorrow if he wants to make a business arrangement...

Don't know where I want it to go from there. Sex, obviously, but in what way? Do I want Shu to drug Luca and get him addicted to the bliss only Shu can provide? Do I want them to come to a less duplicitous relationship whereby Shu generally never engages with clients directly, but he's making an exception for Luca chiefly because he's a good time, as Luca starts to want more? There are so many options.

I don't particularly ship Shuca, I just think Luca's lore pairs well with an AU where Shu is the proprietor of an escort service/drug-and-human-trafficking ring.

Luca probably isn't used to being told no and not being in complete control of circumstance, but Shu can play him like a fiddle and Luca doesn't even realize he's been had until after the fact. Just when he thinks he's wrested control back, Shu flips things on his head... he's like antifreeze, lead paint, something sweet and pretty that you don't even realize is working its way into the very marrow of your bones until it's too late to recover from the poison. Shu wants insurance and control of his territory... and Luca is helpless to stop him and lose access to his fix. But as long as he's a good boy, he'll get his peace, happy candy...

I've been commenting more and the other day I actually got the twitter comment equivalent of a (you) from an oshi. I think it was either Doppio or Fuuchan who said the other day that seeing the things fan retweet and engage with is a safe way for them to find the care and support of their fans without having to root through all the bullshit, so I've been tryna retweet more art and so on, too... and of course being present in chat itself. It's infuriating that people are still chatting shit, but adding to that negativity won't accomplish anything. Drowning it out with love and care is the best thing we can do. Don't be afraid to make the jump from lurker to chatter/artist/author/etc etc etc! It's worth it.
