It's tough to think about since you as the writer are well aware of all that you're putting down and what more you'll reveal later, but sometimes it's all a matter of presentation. You can present the reader with a lengthy loredump while keeping it engaging via the deliverers of it and what they might be doing. Mixing spoken exposition with action is a good way to keep it fresh. Also it helps to keep in mind that you need only tell the reader what might be relevant at the time. That helps keep the segments shorter, while requiring less information to be processed at the time.

Having not been in this thread for a while now I kind of decided to read this on a whim. I also skimmed some of the responses and saw people liked it and something about a cool fight so I went into not expecting much but I was actually pretty impressed by it the more I read. And I surprisingly had a lot more to say than I thought I would as late as this is.
Not that I’ve looked but I really haven’t read a fight that was easy for me to envision like that before. The set up to the main events were just fine and what they needed be. Good using Roberu for the bar scene and implementing Chloe and Shion’s dynamic (who I initially thought was gonna be Mea when she was being described but I'm glad she got the mention too). The battle was pretty epic. Even if it had about 4 phases (as far as how I would divide it goes), I personally didn’t feel like it dragged on due to the constant back and forth that kept me guessing as to who was going to take the the loss and the overall sense of progression as more and more members got involved.
HoloX pretty much behaved how I’d expect them to in a combat situation. Chloe for me would’ve been the hardest to work with since I wouldn’t have known what to actually make her class-wise. But going with assassin didn’t feel off. Especially with that mask she has. Pretty much adds another definition to her being HoloX’s “cleaner.”
Character-wise, every character’s portrayal was pretty spot-on for how I’d imagine them to be. Good that the MC has the type of personality that can kind of just bounce off of anyone else’s too. The way he’s pretty much just a swordsman with one major trick, the sword-linked teleportation act, but used it cleverly with different applications was pretty neat and got me thinking. Might be reading a bit too much into but his fighting style, straightforward but deceptively simple at face value yet tough to fight against head-on, seemed similar to his personality. Straightforward, stubborn/determined, but has something up his sleeve. Or in the case, a relationship with Chloe that’s yet to have been elaborated on. I wonder if the title has anything to do with that. I'll just full spoiler the next part to be safe.
In contrast to Chloe who’s been more covert about that would rather feel with the problem right away. Iroha is also straightforward and almost-too-honest. Pretty much like the MC but the to a lesser degree on the stubbornness part. Kind of like how she’s swordsman like the MC but not as good yet. There’s Koyori who’s trying out a bunch of things like status effects fitting how she wants to pretty much use the MC as a guinea pig and having them be held of a like a research collecting data and coming up with a solution with it, like the canon. There was Lui who seemed the most capable on her own like the “de-facto” leader she is as well as being able to focus on the really threat, the weapon and deal with that fitting her “hawk-eye” modes concept. And their’s Laplus who prefers to make her commands from a far but will step to fight and protect her friends when push comes to shove. Her attacks also seemed lack complexity and sophistication but had a lot of force and emotion like a child’s tantrum, fitting of her child-like demeanor.
Aside from the fights finale, which I thought was a well written climactic way to end of the fight, I’d probably have to say the Koyori and Lui tag team part my favorite. It was probably the most suspenseful, apart from the climax, once the Koyo Powder started taking effect.
I’d say that was a pretty good story and I’d definitely read the next part since it left off on a cliffhanger but still satisfying resolution to the chapter’s events. Of course take your time and all that. To be honest, I even feel a little reinvigorated to start writing again. So thanks for the great read (accompanied by epic and fitting music) and inspiration.

Chloe always struck me as an assassin based on her fanart and the fact that as you said, she's a "cleaner".
When writing the MC I took into consideration his ability and what it could represent. Everything else, from his weapon of choice and way of doing things, just came from his cocky demeanour. It's also great to hear you liked the characterisation of everyone. I thought a lot about what each role everyone would play and how they would work as a team, but it's not like I spent hours agonising over how to write them so I'm not sure I deserve all your praise. I also noticed Kiara for that one part too. Didn't think too much of them at first but it's often good to introduce characters earlier than when their existence would be mandatory to make things feel more natural in the world so good on that.
For Chloe's role, I always felt that since her role in HoloX was relatively underwhelming as a fixer (American definition I'm assuming) and cleaner so I thought that always could've been some sort of cover-up for something else. Kind of like Ame's time travel thing but actually intended so I think it worked out well. Kind of rounds out the RPG class dynamics of HoloX well enough too
Also, even if you didn't think of the fighting styles all to deeply, it's a pretty neat bonus when parallels and connections like that can be made with some consistency. Even unintentionally, might imply you just got a good sense of what just fits the "feel" of the character if that makes sense. Plus it at least gives you a cool idea how how you may want to implement other character's fighting styles if that's your writing style

Funnily enough, I'm pretty sure thats kind of close to the pseudo canonical explanation for the mask in HoloX meeting where the mask is a thing Koyori makes so that Chloe isn't nervous when singing in front of a crowd for the first time...
