The first encounter is the weakened 10k hp one, you need to clear it to advance the story. The normal one have around 55k hp and is way harder. Pekora went against the normal one first to prove herself. I really love my Friend, but I don't think she can clear normal Alatreon or Fatalis. It would be a good endurance stream though.

I had to laugh every time as well. During the marshmallow tea party earlier she said as a streamer, you need to find ways to make the stream entertaining for the viewer even if you are bad at the game. It's hilarious to me that repeatedly screaming SOCIAL DISTANCING is her way of doing this and it somehow works.

It seems she'll do these hard quests with Sukonbus instead of playing solo, in this case, I believe she can clear the story mode since they'll carry her through the fights. Chat warned her that doing Safi in solo mode is unfeasible, as it takes forever to drain all the energy levels and slay him, which convinced her to visit the gathering hall. They exaggerated it a bit though, soloing the Safi raid shouldn't take 3 hours, but it will be very boring and inefficient.

I ended up writing up all of it today, after all because I probably wouldn't have time in the next couple of days. There were a lot of questions, and almost all of them were interesting, so it took me quite a long time, until 2 am, in fact, so forgive me for any errors I might have missed. I hope these summaries are useful for you friends!

Q: Which manga are you into lately?

She said she usually mostly reads horror manga in general. She then listed a bunch of already finished manga she likes, including Beastars, Boku ga Shinu dake no Hyakumonogatari, Hikaru ga Shinda Natsu, Made in Abyss. She then also listed Gogogo Go Go Ghost and Kujima Utaeba Ie Hororo as ongoing Mangas and later also mentioned Heroaka, Jujutsu Kaisen, Mother Parasite and Zeikin De Katta Hon. If I recall correctly, the last one was recommended by Mane-chan and she talked about the plot a little more and seemed particular interested in that one.

Q: My daughter is in elementary school and she really liked the Shirokitsune tea last year. She is watching the stream together with me and trying the new tea this year. Did you also already like tea when you were a kid?

She said she did, she started really liking it in elementary school. When her family was meeting at her grandmother's place to visit the graveyard to pay their respects (Japanese custom Hakamairi), her grandmother made loose leaf tea in a kyusu for them and she thought it was incredibly delicious. She already liked PET bottle tea, but obviously that's something entirely different. She begged her family to also get a kyusu and loose leaf tea and she started drinking it at home from then on. She even learned a little tea ceremony around that time. She said drinking tea this way and being serious about it made her feel grown up because that's something only adults are usually interested in. Instead of drinking fruit juice juice like other kids, she was drinking tea and really loved it.

Q: I can't watch live today so I will watch the archive and try the tea later. I want to ask your opinion on something. I'm so busy at work that I'm sacrificing my private time. What do think I should prioritize, work or my private life?

She thought it was a pretty tough question. Of course work is important because you need it to live and falling behind on work might give you a lot of trouble in the long run, but working so much that you don't have a private life anymore is also not the way to go. It's important to find a good balance. She knows it's not always that easy, but says you should at least make an attempt to make sure you get some time for yourself and not just sacrifice everything, even during busy periods. Always try to plan ahead so that you can get at least get some time to relax every couple of days and have a break to look forward to. If you end up sacrificing all your private time, you will just end up breaking yourself. It's not a bad thing to be dedicated to your work, but you need to find a balance in which you can still have some private time for yourself as well. She was mostly talking from the perspective of an adult working a job, but the same also applies to students and studying too much.

Q: Be honest, which kind of skills and qualifications do you think a Vtuber needs?

She feels like she doesn't really know how to answer this question. At first, she thinks it's important to figure out if you want to do this as a hobby for fun, or if you actually want this to be your job. If it's supposed to be a job, then you need to have a good understanding of yourself and be honest with yourself about what you can and cannot do. You need to be able to plan ahead and be proactive about a lot of things. You need to figure out how you want to present yourself, how you want to produce your own image. It's very important to be very clear about your own goals so you have something to work towards and plan ahead. Once you have defined your goals, you can then figure out what kind of character you are going to be and how to really bring it out. You need the self-awareness to know how to make a stream fun for the viewer even if you aren't necessarily good at the games you are playing and stuff like that. It's very important to figure out what exactly you want to do it and how to go about it and what you want to become. She once again stresses that it's really important to look ahead and figure out what comes next and define a path for yourself, because without goals you can work towards it's very easy to get lost of give up.

Q: What was the single most fun thing that happened since you joined Hololive?

She had trouble to really figure out a single fun thing like that so she kind of changed the question a little. She said the BEST thing about joining Hololive for her was getting to meet everyone - both the members, and the Sukonbu, too. She has made a lot of friends and feels really blessed to be in the position she is in, and that's definitely the most important thing she got out of joining. As for the most fun thing, there's just way too much, she has so much fun every year that it's impossible to define a single thing.

Q: I want to become a Vtuber in the future. I was wondering if there is any special skills or subjects I should focus on? It's probably a good idea to work on my communication skills, right?

Communication skills are important, but defining your own goals is way more important than any skills you might have. Communication is something you can learn while doing this job, and being bad at it might even be a charm point if it's in a way that#s fun for the viewer. This also applies to many other skills, all of them can be acquired over time. What's super important is to have a personality and some individuality, have hobbies and interests that you can share with your viewers and you can talk about. Being able to understand oneself and map our a path for the future is the most important thing. She herself doesn't really think she fully understands herself all that well, either, but she does have a wide range of interests and hobbies. She knows what she likes and isn't afraid to talk about it with us at length. Some people might find that interesting because they share her interests, others just find her passion appealing, and people can get a good impression of what kind of person she is by the way she talks about the things she likes. In this golden age of Vtubing, it's kind of hard to stand out and rise to the top because there is so many people, but finding this kind of niche for yourself might be a way for people to get interested in you. Shirakami herself sometimes watches indie Vtubers and is always impressed at how great some of them are, despite low viewership. A lot of them are charming, funny and talented, good at singing etc. She really hopes that some of them will get the opportunity to break through eventually and attract attention. It's tough being an indie because you also need to be able to produce yourself, handle outside communications, PR and all that stuff at the same time. She feels like that's really important. She would also recommend to watch a lot of other people's stream to get inspired or find out in which areas one could still improve.

Q: Cover has been advertising that they are hiring on Twitter quite a lot lately. I was wondering what you would think about fans becoming employees of Cover. Would you think that's weird or do you not mind?

She generally doesn't mind at all because work is just and work and thinks it's very important to keep work and private life separate in this respect. At the same time, she feels like wanting to work for Cover only because of one's oshi also works there isn't the greatest reason to want to work for the company and would prefer if people apply because they are genuinely interested in Cover (what the company does, where its technology is going, what they stand for etc.) and want to put their own skills to the test. Just because you love something (e.g. Hololive) doesn't mean you will also love to do it as a job, so it's important to actually be able to love the work itself, otherwise you might eventually lose interest (e.g. in Hololive), and what happens then, do you just quit? In the end, it' fine for fans to work there, but being a fan should not be the only reason one applies, the work should also be something that you genuinely want to do and be something where you can use your skills, e.g. "I am a Hololive fan, but I mostly want to work here because I am an engineer and feel like I can put my skills to good use here and can learn a lot of useful things". She stresses again that it's important to keep work and what one does/loves in one's private life separate. It's also easy to get disappointed if one sees what the work behind the scenes is live and if it doesn't live up to what one thought it was and it would be sad if one lost interest because of that. Or one loses interest in the thing itself because one now associates it with work, and that's something that one definitely should avoid.

A Sukonbu then asked in the chat if she considers streaming to be work, then. She thought about it for a while and settled on the fact that it's both for her. She is the type that made her passion into her job so it never really feels like a chore or anything to her, it's just what she loves doing. It's both a hobby and work at the same time. If she thought of it as work or duty, something she HAS to do, she would probably not stream nearly as much as she does, she mostly treats it as a hobby or a time where she can relax. Streaming isn't even the biggest part of what she does at her job at Hololive, anyway. Streaming has just become a part of her everyday life and she has a lot of fun doing it. Sukonbu: "So if streaming doesn't feel like work to you, you basically have a 365 day weekend" She laughed at that. She thinks if you think of being a Vtuber as a job only, it would be hard to continue doing it, you kind of have to love what you do, too. It's a balancing act. Thinking more about it, streaming is basically a form of self-advertising for her. She gets to present herself to a lot of people in the hope that some of them stick around and get interested in what she has to offer. Someone asked her if the lessons are tough and she said only when her muscles ache afterwards, but she doesn't really have all that many lessons compared to other members. She usually only takes dance if she needs to learn a new choreography and the occasional voice training, while other members such as Watame do them constantly. Someone asked if speaking in her very first stream was tough and she said it was, it was 5 years ago and she doesn't really want to think about it too much. She had no idea what to talk about and over exaggerated her voice way too much. Thinking back, she didn't really have any idea what she was doing at the time. She likened it to talking on the phone with strangers, one's voice is weirdly high and one feels tense and stuff like that. She really doesn't recognize herself in the voice she used back then. But on the other hand, thinking back about it is very nostalgic and she doesn't really want to forget how it felt to be new back then.

Q: Are you not doing any collabs with the Holostars anymore?

She said she was wondering about the same thing, she hasn't really gotten many invites from them lately. She is actually planing to play Lethal Company with Aruran tomorrow, but other then that there hasn't been much lately. She said she wouldn't mind being invited more, but she's also often busy so it doesn't always work out. She also mentioned Oga has been playing MHW lately too, so she would like to play together as well if it's possible.

Q: I really love Fubuki-chan a lot, but I sometimes get lonely all of sudden. What can I do to feel better in these kind of times?

She says this feels really relatable to her and this also happens to her sometimes. This also happens sometimes with friends, she's close to a lot of people like Mio, the rest of Gamers, Bakatare Circus or Micomet, but there are also times where she suddenly feels really lonely and realizes she hasn't been hanging out with (some of) them much lately and then she also feels like she doesn't really know what to talk about with them or what to do with them and stuff like that. She likes to hug a stuffed toy when she feels like that and just drown out these bad feelings and distract herself with other fun stuff she loves doing until the feeling passes. That's just what human emotions are like, sometimes you feel like that for no particular reason. In times like these, one is prone to feel like one's feelings are in the way and it's easy to get frustrated at one's own feelings, but it's important to realize that it's fine to feel like this once in a while and accept oneself.


Q: Are there any plans for future 1kisei events?
She mentioned the 1kisei anniversary is coming up very soon and sort of implied they might do something for that. If you don't remember, they announced a while ago that instead of every member getting their individual anniversary live, from here on out anniversaries will be handled by generations, so that's probably what she was referring to. She obviously couldn't give any details. But other than that, they have nothing official in the pipeline for the time being. They do want to collab more, they had some plans to do it on a regular basis this year but that obviously got derailed by the Mel thing, but they want to get back to that eventually. They did have the Mahjong tournament thing yesterday, though! She then said that even if Mel is no longer a member, 1kisei needs to keep going for her sake and do her part a well. Even if Mel is not around anymore, they will always keep Konkapuing deep within their hearts. She hopes that she is doing well in the demon realm, it's not like she's dead or anything, she just went back home.

Q: Now that there are alternative outfits for the Hololive friends with you plushies coming out, is there any chance for a Kurokami version?

Kurokami is not a member of Hololive, so there is basically no chance, no. There>'s also not going to be separate birthday goods for her or anything like that, either. The most she can do is include little Kuro elements or at least allusions to her in her own birthday goods (she was featured as a sticker last year, I believe). While she has often said that Kuro is not affiliated with Hololive, this time, she explicitly stated that Kuro is an indie Vtuber. Not sure if this is implying anything about the copyright situation or if it was just figuratively, but I thought it was pretty interesting. She acknowledged that there wasn't really a lot of Kurochan in the past year except for the cover on her birthday, but then only really said that she intends to do something else like that for her birthday like another cover or a monthly wallpaper this year, too. Not sure if this means we aren't going to get any Kurochan between now and then, though. I hope we do! The topic of a new Kurochan outfit came up, and while she said she would really love to see it, it's not likely to happen because that would mean she'd have to sacrifice an outfit of her own, which she isn't really willing to do right now. The topic of Burinyan came up and she made it pretty clear that there will never be a live 2D for her. Someone then asked if Burniyan will get a 3D model instead and she vehemently denied it and said she would rather get her own alternative 3D outfit and wouldn't want to give that up for that cat. With Pekomama getting a model of her own for April Fool's, the topic of Mamagitsune appearing on stream came up once more. She laughed and said she thinks that's not going to happen. She kind of laughed it off and said she'd probably be too embarrassed about it. Interestingly enough, that sounded a little different from last time the topic came up. I remember her being pretty clear about not wanting her mother to appear on stream last time, while she kind of made it sound like it's more due to her mother being shy about it this time. I wonder if she has pitched the idea, or if she was just hedging her bets here a little.

Q: What's the most important takeaway you have realized during the course of your Vtuber activities?

Don't do things you don't want to do. be clear about what you want to do and don't force yourself to do things you don't want to do. Don't let streaming become something you do out of duty, only do them when you feel like it so that they stay something you do for fun. If they become a chore, then the future is going to get tough. Space them out to the extent you need to and try not to force yourself to stream just because of the fans. If you force yourself, you will stress yourself out and your viewers will notice, you won't be able to deliver a fun and interesting stream and the stress of forcing yourself will require you to take more frequent and/or longer breaks eventually. That's also why she sometimes just takes like 2-3 days off in a row so she can cool down a little and catch up on other things like Anime and Manga and Games when she needs to recharge. Taking a rest once in a while is very important.

Q: Which Holomen do you talk to with the most lately?

It's Micomet, she has been talking to them a lot lately because they make plans and go places together and also plan for collabs. She doesn't actually talk to the other members about everyday things all that much. She loves her alone time and likes to do things on her own, she's just not that kind of person that messages or calls somebody else and asks "Do you have time right now? Wanna chat for a bit?" Not even with Mio, she think Mio is more likely to talk to Okayu or Subaru about this kind of stuff. That's just not how she likes to spend her time, she'd rather do stuff alone when she is at home with free time. It's not that she wants to keep everyone at arm's length or anything, that's just how she is. She loves going places and hanging out with the other members and almost always goes if she is invited or the an opportunity to hang out arises, and she is then able to talk with them just fine, she just doesn't necessarily go out of her way to do that most of the time. Even when they do hang out, she is a much better listener than talker, anyway.

Q: With the Gamers event on the horizon, who else would you like to have an offline event with? Personally, I'd like to see Bakatare Circus or Doroken.

Both of these would be nice, but she would also like more Ayafubumi as well. They had some sort of sponsored collab for Setsubun, that was nice and she would like to do more stuff like that. SENPAITACHI would be nice to. Someone in the comments said SENPAITACHI doesn't really exist anymore, but Shirakami insisted that it does.

Q: Which Holomen do you want to get closer to the most?

It's Suichan, she only ever really does things with Micomet or Miko alone but never with just Suichan. The only thing was the Puyotetris event at the Expo- She feels like Miko is some kind of cushion between the two of them. They get along super well and joke around a lot when it's the three of them but there is just never an opportunity to just be with Suichan alone so she doesn't really know what it would be like or what she should talk about. She also likes how Miko and Suisei act together so she is more of a passive listener when it's the three of them sometimes. She'd like to try doing a solo collab with Suisei this year. It would also be nice to get closer to Shishiron, she has been quite interested in her lately. But more realistically, she expects to do a lot of 1 on 1 collabs with Miko this year, she is eagerly awaiting the time she catches up to Iceborn in MHW so they can play together. She would also like to do more stuff with Rui this year. That's one of the reasons why made her a thumbnail to coerce her into playing the School Labyrinth horror game.

Q: Fubuchan, should we just get married?

Is this a proposal? But just thinking about it, if I got married, I'd have to become a housewife... Marriage, huh. I haven't really thought about marriage ever except for when I was a little kid. You know what's scary about marriage? If you really liked how things were before you got married, it's scary to think about how the act of getting married might change the way things are. This is kind of scary to me, makes me think like, maybe it's better if things just stay the way they are. Getting married isn't really an aspiration of mine, I probably won't get married. When I was a kid I thought become a bride and wearing a wedding dress would be nice one day, but when I think about the topic of marriage, there's a lot of things you'd need to think about and I would rather stop thinking about it entirely. "Eventually, Shirakami stopped thinking." I do think I would like to wear a wedding dress just for the experience once, though. "Shouldn't one get married out of filial piety?" Well, getting married just because of your parents is kind of, you know.. From their perspective, their child getting married is a great thing, but it's something the child has to do out of their own volition. Filial piety is just incidental here, your own happiness needs to come first. Marriage is difficult, huh. I don't really know. You know, what I have right now, being able to talk to everyone, play games and just have fun like this, I would probably have to give all of this up, and just thinking about that feels bad. I'd hate that, I couldn't handle that. I think rather than happiness derived from marriage, the happiness I derive from being able to hang out and play together with everyone like this is more important to me personally. That's just how my priorities are.

Q: Fubuchan, you love spicy food, do you also like sweet stuff?
I can't really handle super sweet stuff, it only tastes like sugar to me. It's not like I can't eat it, but I prefer moderately sweet stuff.

Q: I'm a middle school student in the third year and I'm taking exams this year. Lately, I haven't really been able to motivate myself and I don't know what to do about it. Do you know a way to motivate myself do anything, especially to study?

That's a pretty tough question. I guess one way to think about it is that it's important for your future. Learning and studying is something that, for the most part, you can only do as a student. Once you become an adult and work full time, you are so busy just living that there's just not enough time to study about a lot of things like you do right now anymore. She then tried to come up with an analogy about grinding EXP to level up in an RPG to be able to defeat the demon lord later, but halfway through realized that that's not particularly motivating. She then suggested trying to reward oneself in some way, and then then tried to tell him how the knowledge you gain as a student might come in handy as an adult. She admitted not all of it does, but having more knowledge can never hurt and she encouraged him to keep grinding on his own stats. A based Sukonbu interjected: "You should release an ASMR to motivate him!" She then said rather then get motivated by something like that, he should try to do it for his own sake. Someone superchatted "I should have put more effort into learning English when I got to know Gura" She then also admitted that that also applies for her just the same and she should have put more effort into learning English so she could communicated properly with the girls from EN. She then argued that someone smart that knows about math and history and can explain rare kanji or idioms/expressions is also just a lot cooler and a more interesting person in general, in her opinion. Now's the time to grind your stats so you can become a better adult later! That knowledge might also come in handy so you can more easily understand Yu-Gi-Oh! cards, calculate the damage to your life points on the fly or understand game scripts, as well! In the end, she can try to cheer on us and motivate us, but ultimately it's all up to ourselves to take the first steps. She was clearly struggling finding a way to motivate him here, but it was very endearing to see her try a lot of different approaches, and I hope some of it stuck with him.

Q: Fubuchan, I know it's a little late to ask this, but I was wondering what the occasion was for you to get interested in Nakamura Yuichi? I would be happy if you could tell me what series it was.

It was Graham from Gundam 00. This also made her interested in Gundam in general. He was also very good in CLANNAD. For a more recent example, it was Hawks from HeroAka. She got interested in the character just from the visual when she first saw him before she read/watched it, but only later found out it was Nakamura. She seems to have developed a sixth sense for that, because the exact same thing happened with Frieren. When she saw his character for like 2 seconds in the opening, she knew instantly that it was going to be her oshi in that show and it turned out that he was voiced by Nakamura. While talking about this, she mentioned that it still feels unreal that she gets to interact with people like Nakamura and Aoi Yuki on a semi-regular basis now. She used to think of Seiyuu and other celebrities like that almost like god-like beings that exist in a plane above her and has a lot of respect for them, and yet there she is interacting with them now. The only way she can even handle it is by turning on her professional work switch.

Honestly, her marriage take is based and a lot more interesting than the usual joke. Locking yourself in marriage can be one of the most unfufilling things is you don't love your partner for a lifetime's worth, especially in japan where getting a divorce is looked down upon. I guess based is the wrong word here, I'm just used to older folk prioritizing marriage as a spectacle despite there being a stereotype that old married couples don't love each other. I've heard that japan see's marriage in sort of the same light and that people heavily encourage it when they're young which is apart of the reason why cheating is such a high stat there. It's nice to see Fubuki not care if she never gets married as long as she's able to prioritize her happiness and still be happy where she is. I definitely agree, it's very refreshing to see her give an actual nuanced opinion on the matter. I also think it's very interesting that the first thought she had when it comes to getting married was having to become a house wife and retiring from Hololive. It seems to me she doesn't even consider just doing it in secret and keeping it hidden from everyone an option.
