There are countless literal 0-2 views on twitch as well despite all the supposed perks and benefits. Almost as if there is a aspect of quality, merit, luck and viral factor all influencing everything and just being recommended a lot may not actually be the key to success. Community and discoverability is exactly why they didn't gang up on Youtube. At the end of the day no matter how you look at it, people go to Youtube to watch videos, not streams. That does mean that you can have a stream recommended to someone who's watching videos, but that also means you're competing against other videos, as well as vods. But most Twitch streamers don't take Youtube seriously as that option because it is just that much worse. yep. vshojo doesn't require them to stream on twitch, they both chose to try it on debut and even after streaming on youtube for years they decided very quickly to move to twitch permanently. for any streamer who does a lot of chat interaction twitch is much better due to essentially no delay, smoother chat scroll, better modding tools, and cross-channel emotes. the biggest issues twitch have is how heavy the UI is, not being able to rewind live video, and that viewers need to jump through a few hoops to avoid ads. while those things are annoying, I'll still take twitch and it sucks that the youtube chat and interface feels so isolating that I don't have any inclination to watch mint where I genuinely might if she was streaming on twitch

I learned that it feels like shit to use Twitch by using Twitch, not the catalog. Normal adblockers don't work on Twitch, yes I configured uBlock but it's still a point against Twitch. You made my point for me about the emotes, it's a better experience without having access to other emotes.
