>What is this?
A Racing league on Assetto Corsa(OG) where threads race each other on the track. No need to personally play it yourself because all entrant cars will be AI.

>Car selection/livery rules:

*A car can only be selected twice.

*There must be 5 retro cars minimum at every roster.

*Liveries should be made by the gen themselves.[Update]The livery should abide YT livestream guidelines.

*Liveries should clearly indicate which general they represent. Racing numbers shall be put at these points: left & right door, front part; northwest part of hood.

*Teams have 3 "tokens" to change up their livery in a season. Any more and they'll be deducted 5pts from their total points after the race of offense.

>Teams can switch cars at every season minimum. Midseason switches are not allowed for this season

>Racing!

*Cars would be balanced somewhat to maintain competitiveness via BOP

*Races would have a qualifying section, where the fastest 30 runners out of 40 proceed to the main race.

*The main race will be set to 20 to 25 minute sprints.

¤Shibuya ruled out for opener, replacement is TBD
¤Technical tests currently ongoing for the rest of the field
¤Points penalties for midseason car switches(all implemented on the race they offend on): 10pts for short notice+no livery prepared, 8pts for ample notice+no livery/short notice+livery, 7pts for ample notice+livery

Is there any known way to load these cars in Blender? It's much easier to tell what bit of paint goes when I can just test the texture there, without needing to waste time relaunching the game over and over.

it'd interesting if we'll end up racing in one of those eprix tracks

I've found a convoluted way at least. I wouldn't be surprised if there were much easier ways, but if it works, it works.

>kn5 to fbx: http://www.mediafire.com/file/i8xoax1ddjif2rx/kn5_converter.zip
>kn5conv.exe -fbx weejock_hyundai_genesis_coupe_wj.kn5
Grab that and run the executable through the command line. This should give you an fbx file, but it's an ascii fbx which blender fails to load. You can also just get it to output an obj file and skip the next bit.

>FbxFormatConverter.exe -c weejock_hyundai_genesis_coupe_wj.fbx -o weejock_hyundai_genesis_coupe_wj_binary.fbx -binary
Grab the latest release and run the executable on your new fbx. The end result loads just fine in both 2.79 (the divegrass version) and 4.1.

Yeah, I won't be able to start working on the livery for a couple more weeks, but I figured I should at least get this out of the way while I can.

The part that's the car can be swapped out for any other car right? Even modded ones? Be including your lil guide next thread in the likely event this one dies

Has everyone been contacted?

>> No.73188393

>>73184154
I only checked the one for the car we'll be using, which is indeed a modded car. I assume all of them, modded or otherwise, have a specific kn5 model file, so it should work for all of them.

>>73185643
I haven't been contacted yet (/pcgia/), but I assume posting here should be fine for the time being.
