But not being first in the market doesn't mean you just throw your hands up in the air and toss away all the market share you have unless it's unsustainable. Think about how the market for internet streaming played out. Microsoft tried to compete with Mixer, but despite carving a little space in the market the effort was losing too much money to be sustainable, so they pulled out. YT streaming has been stagant it's overarching goal of taking away Twitch's market share, so does that mean YT should just do away with streaming since they can't be the market leader? Of course not, because it still pays to have a diverse portfolio and show that you're making efforts in that space, and YT is capable of sustaining that effort. In that sense NijiEN still makes enough money to be profitable and sustainable, so there's no need to publicly resign to Cover in their overseas expansion efforts
