I think it's more than that in her case, but maybe this is what mastery is like.
When you play violin you have to both know the note you want to play and get out the correct sound.
But those are just the basics.
Her control of sound is a representation of her mindset.
It's like she can relax the most when playing violin and that being the most comfortable and natural thing in the world.

The part of knowing the correct note is what I assumed to be the result of a perfect ear.
Without that you can only know by comparison.
She is not comparing the sound of the songs she is playing. It's feels so natural.
I thought she had a perfect ear, but that may not be the case.
In that case she achieved a close level to it through effort alone.
Is that the result of the Suzuki method in your article of learning by ear?

I didn't do that and started by learning to read notes first. I have to know what I am going to play first. I probably can't undo that easily.

She has a lot of talent, but put in an equal or greater level of hard work and time.
