They are the 4th strongest branch in all of vtubing, wiping the floor with NijiEN and other competition, outside of NijiJP, HoloJP and HoloEN - and is made out of just 5 members. What exactly are they supposed to do differently? Not stream games and tutor you on math? All the vtubers stream and do similar things. Yet everyone sees Hololive, Niji and VSPO as different from each other? Why, if they do the same type of content? Is simple - aesthetic. If ReGLOSS was just like Hololive, all of you clowns would not bitch for months that they are in a different branch and would just treat them the same, because at the end of the day, being called Gen7 or something else, is absolutely irrelevant - HoloEN having names for the group instead of being Gen1, 2 and 3, has never been a problem to anyone. But you all bitch about it, specifically because you see them as different. They are no magical beings, nor aesthetically idols, they are normal girls, and feel distinct. Hololive is growing and is plateauing at the same time, because they hit a glass ceiling with their fanbase in Japan. But they still need to expand. Having 25 HoloJP generations is unpractical. So the obvious solution is to create new branches, with different aesthetics to target different niches. The results of that are going to show better, when they have more than 1 generation, because 5 girls is too small of a group for a branch, so now they need to collab a lot with Holo and feel just like another Holo gen. But when they will have 10, 15, 20 members, and interact more among each other, than with Holo, they will start to feel more like they own thing than now. REGLOSS isn't the only DEV_IS generation we will get, and DEV_IS isn't the only separate branch we will get over the years.

If you are actually paying attention to what Cover is doing, you'd realise what Dev_Is is supposed to be, Hololive's equivalent of Holostars' Uproar.
