Enna wasn't really into vtubing but she was always part of the friend group and she joined Nijisanji because her friends told her that shit is free money. Most of the people in Niji are a part of the clique like Shu, Uki and Luca too.

nijiEN's debut with Lazulight was very muted and downplayed here relatively speaking, they were being jeered at for Finana's fart tweet and for getting absolutely crushed in numbers by Gura/Ame doing a shark tank collab during their debuts. Finana didn't even do her debut, she somehow fucked it up that bad (perhaps an early sign of horribly incompetent management in hindsight), she just started existing. their first couple months they were pretty much eating their humble pie as chuubas and fans alike, they were clearly so far beneath/behind Hololive nobody was even talking about surpassing Gura or any of that shit (this was back when Gura was actually-streaming still too or at least at the tail end of it).

the whole gura killer shit started with Petra's debut and people quickly learned that forcing hype does not equal views, I think it also was an early sign at the time there were a bunch of fucking shit eaters who literally would cheer on anything they thought might destabilize or compete with Hololive and these were the ones who latched onto Luxiem hype as well.
