I mean it kinda FEELS like they were aiming for untapped markets (with maybe a slight focus on the female market)... which is what they usually do with ANY Hololive gen.
Considering the panic shilling pre-debut and the absolutely HUGE amounts of damage control post-debut, it feels like this started off as a regular Hololive gen that got hijacked by some retarded higher up halfway through training to push as his own an Ego project.
It adds up when you consider that they haven't been as successful as the regular holo JP gen they were originally going to be introduced as.
It also explains why all the holo girls are so friendly with them and shilling them so hard, because they WERE supposed to debut as JP7 but got screwed over super hard due to management's retardation, so they're saviorfagging them.
Also a "music group" just doesn't make sense with these members in particular.
