It's more of a small thing. G Star is a team of female streamers dedicated primarily to SF6.
Every year in Japan the SFL, street fighter league, is played, a competition in teams of 4 professional players. It's currently the tournament that attracts the most people in Japan, more than the traditional 1v1 format.
G Star's idea is to put its talents to the test in different competitions such as Beast Cup, Topanga Cup, streamer exhibitions, etc., to see the level and be able to generate a female team of 4 at the end of the year with the confidence that they can compete in the SFL.

Now that I reached master, I need to make a new goal for myself. I have decided such goal to be not getting stomped by an anime woman ever again. To reach such goal, I will first defeat the strongest figger: My first objective will be to beat the demon known as After School Sophie.

Further update of the day: went to try the combo in the battlehub and didn't manage to do it fully even once. Its only 2+3+3= 8 hits currently. The video version is 50+ but it is impossible to do that one in modern.

Gonna stablish some goals: Before this week ends, I will do the full corner combo 20 times in a row.
By next week, I will be able to do it 20 times in a row against a moving target (cpu)
By the week after that one, 20 times in a row against battlehub opponents.
After that I will be adding extra hits.
I think I can add three more per stack and three more per 3 bars. I will check later the net to see if anyone has made the research but I believe the maximum possible in modern controls is therefore
9+6+8+3(fireballs) which is a respectable 26
The long term goal and the ultimate test would be doing it to Sophie herself . I do not know when she will come back but she will probably return for the Akuma release so that's probably the deadline, which means I have latest until June and earliest until May to get the shit done.

This is the first serious combo I will be trying to learn in my life since never played much fightans before. I will keep you updated daily and any tips will be appreciated.

Laugh theory refers to being three archetypes of fighting game players:
first, brain players - or data nerds.
Second: body players - or combo practitioners.
Third: heart players - or reading masters.
According to laugh, every player is a combination of these three aspect to a degree.

I have found this skills not to be completely transferable between games: Frame Data is different for every game and combos go obsolete almost immediately. Learning to read opponents is the most transferable of the three, but it is also very unreliable: The human mind is for the most part unpredictable, particularly when it's guarding itself from being read.

Simply put, if you are fighting Wong, and you know who he is, you shit yourself, and you already lost, even if he knows the game less than you do. The "spirit skill" of Wong is infinitely transferable among games, so I regard this to be the skill that must be trained the most.

Well thats pretty cool and all, but what can you do if you are not perhaps the second most famous fighting game player of all time? Well, the secret was revealed to me in a small offline tournament I took part of.
During the finals of said locals, things were already tense. Matches were pretty close and the contender was against the previous champion. He, knowing himself lost, aimed for a desperate move: Switched to modern Luke. A desperate groan came from his rival when he saw it, and after losing the first round to said Luke, the old champion rage quit.

That day I understood the way of the spirit was the true way, and I aimed to destroy my enemies without fighting them. My friend, an old Eastern European pro player from the SF3 era, resumed this idea as "make them lose in champion select".
Ever since I switched to modern I have been called slurs in pms in the battle hub, being one and done in ranked countless of times, had people avoid me like the plague and disconnect when they see the golden M. If I had a steam profile open it would be probably filled with insults.
This also reveals most strong people wont be ready to face a modern player in a local, for they avoid modern players. They will jump in where their mind tells them it's safe to jump in, and will eat the dp. They will punch +drive in a corner and they will eat the one button super you werent supposed to be able to buffer. This is how you defeat someone who has more brains, more body and more heart than you do: with the courage of being a creature hated by the heaven and earth. This sin also becomes necessary to someone who needs to catch up with people who have played for decades.

Miyamoto Musashi said "the True Way of sword fencing is the craft of defeating the enemy in a fight, and nothing other than this". In other words, victory is all that matters, and should be achieved by any means possible. Crying about modern is not only unproductive but the whining itself can be weaponized against you, which is why I plan to do.
This is also why I am currently trying to master the most annoying combo in the entire game: If I pull it during the first game, I will very likely not have to fight the other one. My reputation of being absolute bullshit to fight against will carry on to everything I do and everywhere, and with that, my spirit stat will increase: this is my ultimate goal, to have the folks in a 100 km are play tournaments in secret for fear of me walking in on them.
