"Proper smut" in my book means not reducing sex to a masturbation using another person without a really good reason. Kuzu no Honkai had a premise where two people which had unreachable and socially unacceptable crushes find some release in each other, even when it is ultimately loveless.
"Proper writing" as well, not reducing people to set pieces and furniture. Example - Victory or Death. MC is a failed mastermind that has his carefully laid and psychotically executed plans shatter the moment they impact reality and the fact that people are different and usually don't appreciate trickery like Greek mythology did.

I crave these proper works yet can't produce them. I'd like to think I am not hopeless because I can somewhat distinguish proper from improper - not always, but sometimes. Anyway, I'd like to wrap this menhera meltdown up with this: please care about people. They might seem crap and shallow simply because crap floats to the top and looking deeper than the shallows requires genuine effort and many times pain.

I like to. The atmosphere plays a big role in the experience and the pleasure. Sometimes you're just in the mood for leading your oshi to a wintry forest cabin retreat and laying her down on top of the fur blanket in front of the fireplace. You want that smell of burning log fire in the background of her arousal, and then you just go to town and once you're basking in the heated afterglow, you crack and window and let that crisp air shock your senses and reinvigorate your spirit.
