I've seen some /fig/ posters in other threads and you guys are always so nice when I spot you and I had a few questions if you don't mind, I just want to make sure I adhere to the rules of your lovely thread. Is it okay to post ourselves? I'm still working on getting everything together but I'd like to do a segment called something along the lines of Fighting Game Fridays where every single Friday I stream a new fighting game! My goal is to hopefully play every single fighting game in existence. I'd also like to do a weekly segment called something along the lines of Trading Card Game Thursdays or simply TCG Thursdays but I'm not sure if there is any interest in watching female VTubers play TCG's. Besides that I'll do the usual daily streams where I either chat, play a different type of video game, karaoke or upload a song cover. So here is what its going to happen: they will have a thread for a couple days, then they will forget. Then the people that are interested in it will have to go to the discord and that sucks ass.
No one is going to bake a general, no one ever bakes a general, Holocure is ten times bigger than anything under the sun and doesnt have a general.
Because normal people dont bake generals. Bakers do. Every general in this board is maintained or created by around 5-10 individuals who dont actually know each other and all of them with their own reasons to make them. If they are lucky, they find someone to co bake and the general takes off, but most of the time they dont.
The responsibility implies not only to make the op, which anyone can do, it isn't even bump it at page 10, but doing your best to keep it fun and interesting until enough people come in so they want to fight for the thread against catalog spam.
For average users generals are just something that pops one day. For bakers it is a choice. Do am I willing to put in the effort to make this thing a thing?

I think you are all picturing this situation wrong: rather than asking yourselves if mashups are fighting games, given the current situation, you should ask yourselves how can be made /fig/ related instead.

The answer is, since op is whatever you want it to be, simply to add:

Sure, but that doesn't mean the name should stick when the game becomes a real product and not just an idea in development. Idol Showdown for example is probably inspired by Samurai Shodown for its name but it still has a name that makes sense for the source material, and the source material of HoloEN is where my little tongue in cheek Connect the World meets Street Fighter 2: The World Warrior name parody idea came from before as just an example of what sort of fighting game meets Hololive names would work.

If it were something completely unrelated to fightings it would be the logical choice, but beat em ups and fighting games are so intrinsically related and so dead as a genre it is really hard to justify a different general for it.
Unlike Holocure, which is based in Vampire Survivors, people will play this one for two weeks tops and then drop it, and in the meantime we might get some of the old posters back and some eyes in our chuubas.
On the other hand becoming a fangame thread would exclude the vtubers we already have.

Ultimately game based generals are the most fragile ones compared to chuuba based generals, this is why / fps/ died and they had to remake it with the brave group one. If we survived it is likely because we werent super strict with the fighting game rule in the first place

I think you should first try and find enough chuubas that play beat em ups a main game genre. If there aren't any then I don't think there's any point.

There will be a bunch of chuubas playing beat em ups... specifically, this one...
Then it will die out in a couple of weeks and nothing would have changed.
But in the meantime we might get some eyes on ourselves again for a couple of weeks and maybe some of the tourists will stay
I also doubt there will be much talk about either, as unlike idol there will be nothing to be learned.
So at worst nothing will change and at best we will get a couple of posters to bump this place
