This is exactly why the way the company handled the situation was a mistake. They fell into the trap of thinking that literally any transparency regarding the situation would have been bad, didn't reveal enough specifics, and ended up being so vague about it that people looking to shit on either side can still fill in the gaps with any old bullshit they want to suit their argument.
