Hololive - is fine. There's bound to be some drama in an industry full of menheras, especially in a company that large, but they cleaned up and dealt with it fairly well.

Idol - I'm still on the fence about. They certainly needed to remove Riro and her manager, but they didn't need make a sex scandal public in the process. Whether they fall entirely to the dark side will depend on how they deal with this latest Pochi drama.

Phase Connect - is fine. Sakana is much more likely to be bullied by the talents than he is to bully them. Like Holo, they've had a few snafus, but in this business, you can't get out entirely unscathed. Phase fans are annoying AF though.

Nijisanji - So black it takes light from the universe, eclipsed only by the slightly deeper black hole that is Wactor, and given that they seem to operate out of spite, I wouldn't put it past them to go that far, and they may have similarly actually doxxed one of their talents already, if not through official channels. Given their prominence they are a threat to the entire industry, bound to eventually have a yab involving a fatality.

Vshojo started an investigation, but they waited pretty long until they made an official statement. An earlier statement could maybe have prevented a few indies falling for the scammers. Some companies understand that the reason they make money is because of the people that work for them. And those companies take better care of their employees because of it.

This really only applies to companies that are publicly traded as once in that position they are required to do whatever profits their shareholders the most by law, or risk being sued. (In the states and Japan at least.)

Lots of privately held companies, on the other hand, are held by well-to-do hobbyists and people on a mission from god, that don't really care as much about how profitable their company is, so long as it doesn't actually bankrupt them. Granted, a lot more are held by investors looking to one day release an IPO to pump and dump, putting them back in the first category, but I suspect many of the smaller vtuber agencies, such as those started by vtubers, fall into this "less dark" category. (At least when they aren't doing it to sex up chuubas.)

...and of course, in both categories, some companies are blacker than others.
