I mentioned it in the previous thread in passing, but Aviel played this move very well. The donothon statement is very much just a general "this is how we do things here at Idol Corp" statement, with seemingly no connection to anything. Maybe if you know something's wrong and start digging, you could connect it to Pochi's donothons, but you'd never have confirmation normally.
Then Pochi herself airs complaints about her donothon obligations. And that colors the announcement. But even with the context of "Aviel posted this to get ahead of Pochi trying to pain Idol Corp in a bad light", it doesn't make Aviel's announcement look bad, because the smart play in a public conflict is to SHUT THE FUCK UP. This makes it look like Pochi was trying to smear Idol while Idol was just trying to be a company with transparent policy on shit. And that makes her own statement look bad for her more than it looks bad for Idol, even if it's true.

I still think there's plenty of room for Idol to fuck it up, but Aviel's statement already puts out there that they're willing to just let any opposition dig their own holes. They'll be fine in the long run so long as they keep that mentality.

Most companies in the business world (the kind of job where a 2-week notice actually matters) will ask that you either handle your current workload or ensure that your workload is handled somehow, either by helping to train a replacement, or by redistributing that workload among other coworkers while the company handles finding a replacement for you. This is normal and expected, and it's not uncommon for businesses to ask that you delay your leave until the workload is handled.
