Nuclear sounds cool, but realistically you wouldn't need that much power, and a hydroelectric dam would be way more useful.
With a dam you can scale it to what you actually need, and you can build up a freshwater reservoir for drinking water and irrigation.
Also a small-medium sized hydroelectric dam would be infinitely easier to build than a nuclear power plant.
