Music artists purposefully go out of their way to hit up Australia as a venue because people are so desperate to attend SOMETHING that they'll buy a ticket just because we assume we aren't getting another visit from the artist or band in question. From a fan perspective, this is the first live show from the top dog of Vtubing, hosted in one of the most well-known venues in the most weeb-friendly and easy to navigate cities on the continent that also has the highest population by far. Both streets are still a thing and are packed with restaurants, though I’ve never stopped by any of them the few times I’ve gone to the city since I’m just a grub that likes maccas. I recall there being a handful of Japanese and Italian restaurants though in both.

Problem is other than skeezy clubs, Melbourne after-dark kinda has fuck all to do you can’t just do anywhere else. Most unique shit like the absolute fuck load of art galleries we have aren’t open past 5pm, and it’s the same for weebshit stores that most anons here would probably want to drop in to. Most anons are better off exploring the city around lunch, coming into Dreamhack for an hour, going to the concert and then going home.
