I'm pretty comfortable slipping in and out as necessary but I always treat everything on stream as who I am on stream and everything offline is offline. I can talk about things that are part of the "real world" but I frame things I talk about including my living space, etc in-lore. Its not a big deal and you don't really have to make it a big deal for the viewers. "Oh you know, I just have a lot to get done around the store, its been a busy week." Like other anons said, its an easy way to dispose of prodding and annoying questions about PL information.

There's nothing necessarily wrong with doing uncheduled streams but at least do something to let people know that you're streaming and try not to do things on unscheduled streams that are continuations from scheduled streams. Nobody wants to miss part 6 of a long game because you decided to stream it unannounced at midnight on a Tuesday.

NTA but I have noticed one interesting thing as I have gotten higher follow count. Streaming for a really long time (4+ hours at a time) is way better for numbers than it used to be at a low follower number.

I think most of the people who follow me also follow a shit ton of other people, and because the default ordering on twitch is from high to low viewer count you kind of get buried for the first hour or two of the stream while people trickle in. Basically you have a much higher max ccv potential than you used to, and much longer streams actually get you somewhere. I think a lot of people discount the power of long streams because they try them when they start with 50 followers and the potential just isn't there when you only have 50 followers.

3 of the most remarkable success stories among aspies in recent memory that I can name: Lcolonq, Zenyahima, and ClioAite (yes she was an aspie, yes she posted and even used advice from here) all do almost only 4+ hour streams. Clio in particular, arguably the most successful aspie since Gen 3, did 6-10 hour streams almost daily for a very long time and had incredible success with it.

I think asp should definitely be encouraging people to stream for much longer than they do these days. 1-2 hour streams just don't cut it.
