She's Filipino but currently living in Canada, so she has the tiniest bit of an accent but honestly her English is really clean?? She also said when she actually gets to stream, she'd do more than one stream a day sometimes. Makes me think she wants to cater to both eastern and western audiences. Once idol debuts a gen, they will open auditions (Genesis doesn't count, since it's a gen re-debut). They are micros hiring right now, but it's really hard to trust them.

dedication is one thing, talent is another. keep this in mind as you audition. vtuber auditions, especially for small corpos, are usually a hit or miss especially these days. our hiring managers can sniff out potential but they know its also safe to hire someone that gives off more than just indie vibes.

So many indies could do better for themselves if they'd market themselves better. You literally have a plethora of examples on how to present yourselves, even on a budget. Getting backed by a corpo with a name is good too, but a lot of indies just get lazy and think mediocre streams and a few shorts here and there will do it for them.

I have watched a lot of corpo vtubers with a lot of talent and dedication, but without proper marketing, or collabs with well-known chuubas, you won't get an increrase on viewerships. The only chuuba I've seen incline here due to her collabs is Mion Akuma. At first, she only fluctuated between 9 to 11 viewers, but because she is willing to collab with anyone (including girls with bigger numbers like Meeta and Cyon), and by spamming the most trending game at the time (Lethal Co. brainrot) she is now at 20 to 40 viewers per stream. It's not much, but it is still an incline.

It sucks because she is doing all of this work for black corpo.

Do your best! Don't underestimate the power of networking, either. Like >>71872586 said, they will help you incline, even if it's only a little bit. The most important part is getting your content onto fresh eyes. Collabs won't help if your audiences overlap.

Corpo isnt always the answer, especially not now. It's good you have ideas but it's raw talent that counts. I auditioned for corpos before and actually got to talk with hiring managers about what they're looking for. They couldn't give a fuck about what you might have in mind for the future because everyone will end up working on projects anyway. It's raw fucking talent, the ability to actually entertain. Only micro corpos and really big money backed corpos have the capability to make a gamble on an indie without much of an audience these days. Stop saving your ideas for when you're in an agency - find a way to do them now. Otherwise, save up for it. Not to beat a dream down but it'll take a while for you to be able to live off of vtubing full time. For now you have to find ways.

And if you're serious about corpo life, stop chatting here as much. It'll be easy to pick up on who you are if you make a name for yourself out there with the way you type or interact.

Oh and yes. I did get hired into a corpo. I'm doing well for myself not because I brought ideas but because I brought talent and proof of it. Everyone has ideas.

I appreciate you being blunt about it, I will keep this all in mind <3 I know being a corpo chuuba won’t mean automatic success or being able to do it full time immediately (or if at all) but it is something I want for myself. I’ll keep working hard to make sure they know I’m worth investing in :) if I do genuinely get into a corpo, I’ll stop speaking here entirely so it doesn’t mess with things, I wouldn’t want to risk it after getting into something I want that much. All I can do is try my best and see where it gets me at this point and I’m okay with that

Browsing 4chan is useful if you want suggestions, but keep in mind that most of us are pulling stuff right from our asses and don't have managerial experience. Browse what you need then leave. Also, NEVER acknowledge anons on your streams. It is very easy to get emotional here. Don't pull off a Millie and own the haters. As a vtuber, you are a public figure, and anons don't have a face that can be punched. It will not work well for you. The V&U girls are doing good not acknowledging drama on their stream, and even on their X accounts.
