The 1st priorities for a PR statement is to make the company and yourselves look good. 2nd is to address the issues at hand. The responses were outright dismissive and treated a serious matter like a disagreement over what to have for lunch. It absolutely failed. The fact that they let Elira air the video proves, at the very least, that management does not give a shit about the talent's safety or careers. So I suppose that lends credence to the idea. Perhaps they simply didn't realize the backlash could sink the entire branch.

Though that requires a conspiracy of management, at least some of which must be PR or have PR experience and thus should have known better than to even try this. As opposed to a conspiracy of talents acting like a high school clique with a jealous hate boner for Selen, with no such training or experience. Seems to me that any razor would favor the clique.

The thing that bugs me about it being management forced is how it's completely at odds with Riku's statement, combined with Selen's best friend at the time yelling about how the bullies outed themselves, and Doki repeatedly saying that "this isn't high school." Which really, really gives the clique rrat some legs.

Incompetence is from column A & column B. We know Niji uses interns to be the go through point of contact for over seas talents. Their re-recruiting of staff is evidence of such. The fact livers had more control / power to be independent bit them on the ass with JP managers not realizing the maliciousness of the proposed plan against Doki who was classified as public enemy no. 1. Management was out to get Selen as well as per their usual mantra and it all blew up in their face. This even is clear by how no real corrective repercussions occured over this failure besides long term shadow bans.
