The jabs into a low move also seems pretty predictable, maybe look at that move's other routes to mix up a bit?

You're not that bad, don't give up!
You like that backflip move too much, especially when the spacing for it isn't good. Try using it less and only when you're sure it will hit, not out in the open hoping it will clip a greedy approach.
When you activate heat and they block, you aren't actually very plus, so treat it as the reset to neutral it is and don't immediately follow up with an attack so much. Try backdashing and sidestepping more.
Use your rage art. Even if it's blocked you'll have learned something about timing it better.
Try incorporating the parry stance more.
Try throws more often.
Powercrush more.

I think that swap characters present a lot of trouble at the best of times, but much more when it comes to freeform swapping. There’s a mod for smash ultimate I did a bit of work on that allows pythra to swap out on hit, which is a neat concept I might eventually go with, but the issue I have with it is the potential to string too many attacks together in a way that makes it overpowered or (arguably worse) too hard to keep track of for your opponent. Angry Beavers is a whole other can of worms in that the swaps often feel like you’re just getting a free dodge and the moves they went with are just batshit.
The current plan for the dogs is something more like traditional smash swaps, but quicker and not reliant on a special move to do it. That being said, implementing on-hit swaps for most moves that just delete the current hitboxes and cancel into the swap state would be something easy to add and if it’s not too cognitively complex for either party it would be neat to have.

I would argue Ame is more of a dimension hopper in practice instead of really using time travel, and that would be something like Peach but she would pull out other versions of herself like Smol Ame and Bee Ame etc.

Ame has two gimmicks, or really three but two involving time and space. One is extra hitlag on her opponents so she can hit them out of it (it’s effectively just maypul’s wrap mechanic) and the other is a counter that lets her warp around to follow up better
I think I want to make this accessible to casuals in that you don’t NEED to use any of the cool stuff (like a game like Rushdown Revolt demands) but you CAN use it to express yourself. Like a casual player is probably never going to use moonwalks or hitfalling or wavedashing or reverse b reversing and might not even know they exist, but they’re there and they can be used if people want to.
