This is obviously something they would've thought about and be okay with, because some songs work better as duos instead of trios. They holos would choose based on their strengths and personality - Mococo for genki rock songs, Fuwawa for emotional ballads etc

Honestly, it WOULD be kind of fun to see them as individuals in sponsorships or songs, but at the same time that goes against their whole gimmick.
It was pretty freaky seeing them so far apart from each other in Bae's mind craft, though. They each had group portions... but not with each other until later
