I am going to tell a story about early Freya. Freya was in predebut for nearly 6 months on posting images of her model to twitter. She only had a meager 30 followers on twitter during this time. Her debut was her simply starting a playthrough of elden ring to 3 viewers. One of her early mods, and two of her early viewers. One of those viewers is a dedicated fan to this day, and the other viewer was me, a casual viewer that didn't actually catch most of her streams due to work and her content being a bit boring. During the stream she was raided by another small creator that doesn't really stream anymore, some guy that plays apex with a chibi model. Thanks to him her first stream reached 8ccv and she reached 10 followers on twitch. She had a very heavy accent and iffy English during these early days, didn't greet raids, and was very shy. Her model was made by a Japanese artist and she bought it online for I think $2000. The artist in question only really made that model and mostly posted about playing gacha and his love for fgo. Freya has very open dialogue with her mods and they helped her a lot with stream ideas and advice on streaming. The first thing I noticed was that she adapted to using channel redeems really well, most of them being gfe things like cat gremlin noises, calling you sweetie, hi honey, and stuff like that. I am not into gfe so I was surprised and a little weirded out at first but I like Freya so I just kept watching even with her chat and mods grooming her to gfe stuff. 4 months in she has made a lot of different friends in the community and she was often getting 50ccv, some days reaching the hundreds due to raids from friends. Twitch was going through some shit and that's when Freya finally decided to move to YouTube. Before that she debuted her 2.0 outfit which many saw as a downgrade and lacking in soul while Freya insisted that it reflected more who she was. She even made public statements acknowledging that some people might stop watching her for changing and that's okay. Her new outfit did not change her content at all, and when going to YouTube it became much more solo without her friends raiding her and the fickle twitch viewer base not transitioning with her. Her average ccv was 30-70 and she did not see much growth her last 2 months as an indie, leading up to a fearful graduation stream. I was not tipped off that Erika was Freya as I was not aware of who vreverie was and randomly clicked on her debut streams then clicked off. Then I realized wait a second, that voice, so I clicked on and greeted her and she replied to my first comment, that's when I knew it was her, though it was obvious because she kept a few of the mods that helped her grow as a creator. Erika was different from Freya in that she did not engage in the same level of gfe and parasocialism she did as Freya, though I did notice she did respond to and address people that knew her as Freya more often, so I tried to not chat too much so that she could interact with new fans. The rest you guys know as you watched her grow as a creator and make a return to gfe stuff with her ASMR streams and such. Anyway just my random story as a casual but long time fan of freyas. I am not a deep participant in her community, and I am not part of the group of mods or viewers that helped shape her significantly, but I have watched her from the start.
