I had to force the GPU in, I thought I broke it, but I don't know how I'll get it out... and its fans stopped working so it gets too hot now, but I'm still scared of removing it... and the CPU fan, oh, the CPU fan's mount was warped, it took hours to get on, I don't know how I would get it back on if I took it off... the PSU is going on 10 years old but I tried to change it and lost a year off my life, but the replacement was missing a plug, so it's sitting in a box gathering dust, and I still have my old timebomb PSU... and the ports on the front of my tower keep fizzling out one by one... it was so hard getting the SSD in there... installing the OS on an outdated motherboard which I never knew would be such a pain in the ass... oh, it's over, it's going to be so over when something breaks in this PC...

>> No.71331666

Genuinely curious, but is building your own pc even worth it in year 2024? I looked into building my own, bur bitcoin mining or whatever it is has made all the parts so expensive that it’s cheaper to just buy a prebuilt (especially if you live in a small ass country and have to pay enormous shipping fees for importing from the US)

>> No.71331720

Move RBC up a tier, she's clumsy but knows what she's doing if the room tour from a few years ago still holds up.
I'm 50-50 on the id girls, parts are expensive in SEA and they could save a lot by DIY. But labor is cheap in SEA so they could just get someone else to do it.
Polka - definitely down a tier. Poltato PC for like the 1st year of her HL career. Had to get help from Botan from memory

Sourcing parts like 8 months ago for a buddy with help from people more up to date than me I found a quality motherboard, ram, and 13th gen CPU, like pretty top of the line stuff, for like 600~ euros. He already had a 3rd gen nvidia card.

A year or two ago it was absolutely more cost effective/simple to just buy a prebuilt due to graphics card shortages and markups. Ame even did this.

She's up 1 tier. You can put her up 2 if you think she did the replacements on their PC when they upgraded parts like 2 months into their debut. I still think they just bought a new PC and she was tasked with installing and setting up all the old stuff for them to use.

Meppa here, Reine should be one rank up. She's absolutely aware of the components of her PC, and watched some videos on how to build a PC too back then. But she doesn't find interest/courage in building her own PC for the sake of streaming.
Feels like a lot of Holomem shouldn't belong in the bottom tier neither.
