It's pretty much not widely promoted here. You have to be seriously invested in sports to be perfectly comfortable with showering with other guys. Otherwise, normies wouldn't do it on their own will.

Also, one thing I've noticed with the onsen talk is that there is no talk/jokes about dicks from the guys who went. It really shows about the level of trust they have for each other and that there's some topics they won't cross.
