Botan thought that the tournament was going to have fewer applicants but it was a success, with so many people that they ended up selecting carefully. In addition, sponsors arrived and they are already thinking about making a second edition.
There are some absences like Karubi and Pururu, who are in almost every SF6 event but it seems that they did not want to apply for this. The same goes for Korone and Subaru. Curious that in the end are Towa and Aki for Hololive.

its the problem this this league's format because there were too many teams that wanted in this time. Keep in mind that our debut league in 5 they were hurting for sign ups up until the last minute. Sign ups for this league filled up INSTANTLY because of how many new teams wanted in and we only got in because /asp/ fucking slept in. Since there's too many teams and the commissioner wanted to have even games with everyone, they killed thunderdome which all of the 3rd place teams could have made it out to round of 16

In Tekken it's hard to say. You can become intermediate in a couple hundred hours but then it's a long fucking grind. Depending on the exact match-up someone can look completely lost or like a pro

No amount of ranked grinding or lab time will prepare you for live performances. Only way to get better at dealing with that kind of stress is exposure therapy: keep on trying and the familiarity will ease your nerves. Not completely, but just enough to not break in the middle of a game

I dunno what she got in T7 but I think you're underestimating the rank inflation in T8. I'd say upper half of Fujin is where it finally feels like your opponent is actually playing you in this game (instead of just running their bullshit) and in T7 I feel like that was as early as orange ranks. This tourney has been full of people who played for like 2 weeks and got to red, purple, or even teal. Perhaps we can say the teal people have had a lot of past experience with Tekken but I couldn't see most of the people in this tourney breaking out of ~green in T7 in 2 weeks

Well, Vivi did very well and I hope there are more instances similar to today for Rosemi. Dtto is one of the participants in Botan's SF6 tournament. She is very popular in Apex Legends circles, close friends with Doki, RPR and Uto. She was even part of Scarz, the Apex team, and is now a streamer for Reject, another organization focused on esports where she coincides with Haitani, Pururu, among others.
Dtto was playing SF6 and receiving basic training from Mikami Kon, another Reject vtuber. Dtto decided that she will use Juri and she is already in silver 2.
I was thinking of writing a little about each non-Hololive or Naraka participant in the Botan tournament, helping to avoid our death in the process.
