You would need someone with a sort of positive image in the Japanese fanbase and seem unproblematic and have less connections to the clique. Kotoka has backstabber allegations and Melocco just doesn't give off trustworthy vibes and Shu is too close to the clique so they are not good choices.

The good choices are Petra and Alban. They've been close to the JP audience and JP branch and made a good image for themselves. They've both built good networks of friends from all over the industry. Alban also has collabed with Altare who is close to Doki. If he secures a collab with Altare again, he'll probably be able to shake off the affects of any bully allegations. But there is a high chance they built their good networks as a fallback for when they leave the company and it maybe he hard to get them to become the new face of EN.

I actually think them getting their 3ds 1st is the end of times signal. My suspicion is they've had the 3d for a while (cancelled AR Live) the models have been sitting there and management has been dragging their feet. Their contract is running out (debut date 17 jul 2021 so their contracts and renewals if 2 years are somewhere before 17 Jul) and having a 3d live before they go is their way of recouping some of the costs of production.

Thinking about it, Pomu's debut was in May 15th, with her Twitter account predating it by some days. The auditions which resulted in Lazulight and Obsydia ran from December 1st to December 15th. This indicates that Pomu was contracted between late December and early May.
Debut models were possibly pre-made and had no input from the streamers, so this wouldn't be a cause of latency between the signing of the contract and the debut.
What can narrow the date of the signing is that the streamers have to take some time to understand the inner workings of the branch and need to set-up preparations for their upcoming debuts, all of which could took from maybe 1 to 3 months.
It could be, then, that Pomu was accepted into Nijisanji between early February (3 months from debut) and early April (1 month from debut) of 2021. Since the resignation has to be done 3 months before renewal, this implies that she filled for graduation as early as November 2022 and as late as January 2023, meaning that she may have been in the waiting room for at least a whole year.
